  • Aside from some minor grammar & structure errors this was AMAZING! I absolutely fell in LOVE with this story and wish it could be edited and printed so I could read it forever! Fabulous storyline, great characters, heart-warming romance and heart-rending events. I truly loved it. Seriously made me cry!

    Has a great story and characters. I like how the story keeps you interested, doesn't drag or become stale. The character development was pretty decent, some parts I didn't care for particularly the part about Verhren (2nd prince) had a let's just say "relationship" with his little sister Pethurna. That was ๐Ÿคขa part I wanted to ๐Ÿคฎ. Anyhow, besides that the book was a good read if you can read past the grammatical errors. Cassandra and Kairein are really great, I dont like how the Emperor came across as a lame duck parent and ruler. I thought the writer could have given him more backbone and strength for being an Emperor.

    The plot is intriguing and fascinating, but itโ€™s obvious Jenny is a self-edited rookie writer. The plot is obsession-worthy, but thereโ€™s often scene changes and time gaps that make no sense without formatting... and thatโ€™s AFTER the changes in perception. Narrators can change mid-paragraph and the reader is often left scrambling to figure out what happened. Itโ€™s a case of third-person story telling going from too-obscure to too-finite to too-obscure again. Overall, Iโ€™d rate it 10/10 for plot (so far since Iโ€™m on chapter 14, but definitely hooked) but a 5/10 for editing, making it 7/10 overall... with a little bit of formatting and tense-edits, itโ€™d easily be a chart topper!!!

    I wasn't very sure about this book when I started it but next thing I new I was in love with it and couldn't put it down I finished it in about 4days. I cried tears of joy and sorrow. this book had me on an emotional roller coaster and I loved every second of it. if I could ever find a rating system I will rate it 10/10.
