i don’t mean to nitpick, especially since I like this book. I guess I can assume the numbers were a little off. so Cassandra is 17. she lost her sister about 10 years ago, when her sister was about 7. so they are almost the same age. Cassie must have been bigger and could work more, or she’d have been taken to a brothel like other young girls

I loved the book until the end. I feel like the end left some things unanswered and was more rushed, which felt very different from the rest of the book. I would have liked more... just more. I would have liked a brief moment where it was discussed who would rule the empire and maybe a coronation. I would have liked knowing who Missandra was with instead of assuming. I mean I “know” but it would be cool to have it stated. And maybe it’s the mommy of a small kid in me, but I hate that she was away for months and then came back. 1.) It didn’t make sense. Why on THAT night? and 2.) Why would this ancient being give up his life for her? Could he have done that right away or did he want to play with her as a human popsicle for a while first?

this is an amazing book but I *have* to say that you don't use swords to cut chains or open cell doors. you just don't. this man's sword would be ruined, and the chains and doors would be intact. it doesn't matter how strong you are, or how sharp your sword is.

A rollicking good story, I love the way you keep the adventure going. Excellent character development. However, while the word 'pissed' is fine to use in a characters speech, there are many more alternatives to use in in descriptive text, e.g., annoyed, angry, furious etc. that give a greater feel for the moment. I understand the pressure to produce, but a little bit of editing work before uploading would not go astray either. Keep up the great work, I am looking forward to reading more of your novels.
