Undeniably one of the best books I read this year and that includes literature. Also one of the best fantasy novels I have read. This dragon empire includes Jenny Fox’s signature drive for societal change and equal rights for both men and women, where strong women eventually have a say and encouraged to live their strengths and live well in what was originally a patriarch world. Kairen and Cassandra’s love is elegant, deep and mature. It was beautiful to watch Cassandra evolve as a character. Krai, the dragon, has won our hearts with his antics and thankfully shows up in the whole series. I’ve never come across a book with so many engaging positive comments, including gay men, who I roughly quote “even my non existent ovaries are bouncing for Kairen”. Kairen had us swooning and has set a precedence for real life and other book heros for me with his unwavering love. Some scenes were so poetic I was inspired or left us ugly crying. Read this book so you know what “Almein” means.

what color crimson were you thinking of when you wrote the story ? Crimson red, crimson blue, or crimson green........ there are many other crimson colors out there.

This and the sequel can be found on that online store named after a river in South America…just search for the author’s name. Great book, chapters are much longer on that site. Save yourself some $$$ and get it there!
