Love this story but Leon created his own demise. So power hungry and fame seeking that he overlooked the one person that was his to love and protect. I don’t feel any sympathy for him. he made his choices. he acted like an ass.

When I first started reading this book, I thought it was going to be the same as another book I just finished. At first it was very similar, but as I kept reading it became unique in its own way. It’s a good read and kept me interested. I definitely recommend this book if it’s complete. I’m on ch230 of 232 and I haven’t seen any updates lately. I hope the author is just busy and hasn’t abandoned it.

I didn’t finish it. I genuinely give books a good try, power through when I’m not being grasped by the story, but this one, I’m too annoyed by the main characters. For a good chunk of the story I was rooting for them but now, not so much. They can’t be riding the moral high ground and waving the “I’ve been wronged by people” flag when they themselves are making just as shitty of decisions as the ones that wronged them and hurting others.
