I’m just wondering, are the dragon empire people black like sub Saharan African or brown/tanned like Arabs and Mediterranean people like Italian , Greeks, Spanish etc. because at first they were described as tan (that’s how she described Karain in the beginning of the book), but then she kept on saying dark, which is confusing because dark can mean black Africans or Mediterranean and Arabs people who sometimes are described with the word “dark” due to their tanned and olive skin tone. you know the term “tall dark and handsome “ actually describes Mediterranean men and not black African men. so it’s confusing because I love imagining the characters when I’m reading a book.I know that Cassandra will look more like a Scandinavian due to her description of very pale skin with colored eyes and hair.
