O telefone vibrou novamente. Rose.

No nosso aniversário?"

"Camille."

"Sim."

"Você ia me contar algum dia?

Minha voz falhou.

Rose me ajudando a escolher meu vestido de noiva.

"Ela nunca deixou a cidade, deixou?"

"Não me toque."

Peguei a caneta, a Mont Blanc que ele me deu no nosso primeiro aniversário. Aquela que a Rose ajudou a escolher.

"Camille, espera. Deveríamos conversar sobre isso direito."

Assinei todas as páginas, minha assinatura perfeitamente firme.

Meu celular vibrou novamente. Rose.

I hate girls like her.

Entitled.

Delicate.

Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.

I don’t care.

It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.

It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
