You're Mine

Chapter4Sabrina

Sabrina's POV

“How did you find me?” I asked, Trying to clear up the awkward tension surrounding the room, and also begging the delicate flesh between my legs to cooperate. It's never been this alive before.

“Such a beautiful question, runner” He hissed before looking away.

“Runner?” I blurted out, curious about his reply. I wanted to know what he meant by that. He knew I ran away?

“Yes. You ran away from the hotel room.”

Oh. He knew nothing then.

“You weren't even there when I woke up, plus I had family to go back to.” I defended myself immediately.

“Right, Mrs. Valour.” He replied back with a suspicious glint in his eyes. It was clear that he was teasing me.

“It's Sabrina Sprouse. We're divorced now.” I replied rather shamefully.

“I know that.” I didn't turn to face him, but I could tell from his tone that he was well pleased, and it bothered me.

“You do.” I repeated absentmindedly. My daughter had fallen asleep in my arms sometime between the interactions. If only he knew he was the father and his own son was lying a few meters away from him, but I couldn't tell him. I thought about the next course of action but nothing came in.

“I want to make an offer.” He spoke again, his fingers interlocking one another as he sank into his chair properly in a sure posture.

“An offer?” I repeated, rather confused.

“Yes. So, my grandmother's here, a few floors up because she's sick. She's the one I came to see, and I don't think her health is improving at all.”

“I'm sorry to hear that.” It was my way of consoling him, but then his next words shocked me to my bones.

“I want us to get married.” The bomb dropped rather loudly because it came with full force.

“What?” My face flushed with surprise.

I couldn't believe my ears as my eyes shot up in disbelief.

“Just hear me out” His deep, husky voice did nothing but seduce me in that moment but I still tried to be calm.

“I'm listening.” I replied back as I fidgeted with my hands.

“I need a fake bride, and you need to get your son's health in check, don't you?”

It was all making sense now.

“So, you're trying to make a deal here.”

I nodded with understanding at the realization of what he was getting at.

“I can't offer you anything that will match my son's medical bills, so please be straightforward.” I had cried and yelled for hours, and I didn't want any more complications in my life anymore so he needed to cut to the chase quickly.

“It can be a fake wedding. Just a court procedure and a contract signing. After two years, we can call it off. My grandmother doesn't have so much time left and she would like me to get married. I also have social events and I'll need you to tag along with me. If you want me to pay for that, I can add it to the contract plan.”

After staring at him for a moment, I let out an incredulous laugh that startled him. It wasn't what I was expecting at all.

I eyed him incredulously.

“You seem to have gotten it all figured out and you can't hide your desperation so why are you helping me? Why me? There's something off about this as there are many other women who would jump at the offer to be your fake bride. You're clearly rich and handsome. You don't even need to convince them like this. How do you expect me to trust you?”

I raised a brow, waiting for him to counter or debunk my claims. Beggars couldn't be choosers and they couldn't complain, but there I was, letting my mouth spit out words I didn't ask it to say.

“You're good, and feisty at that if I must add. He smirked, his lips curled upwards, a smile that bothered me and fascinated me at the same time.

“I should've known and prepared for this. You approached me yourself that night so there must be some level of trust.”

He successfully debunked my claims as he bored into my soul with his eyes. I had to look away because it was too much for me.

“In my defense, you were already staring at me at that party.” I said, refusing to back down.

“It's only because you were the most beautiful woman there and you belonged to someone else. Now you don't.”

“What's that supposed to mean?” I shot him a glare and folded my arms, his insinuation hanging in the air.

“It means what it means. Marry me Sabrina. Just agree, please.”

I stroked my chin and furrowed my brows, pretending to deliberate on what he was asking for. I eventually agreed because I could see that my son was clearly leaning towards death.

“Two years and we're done right?” I asked again for clarity and I would ask all over again so it would stick and he would never say that he didn't agree.

“Yes.”

“Okay. Let's get married.”

With that, he smiled at me as he brought out a crumpled white paper and a pen from inside his suit. He wrote down a few things on it and handed it over to me.

I knew what he wanted me to do so I signed it. A temporary contract with terms and signatures. As soon as I finished, I handed it back to him.

Staring at him, I couldn't miss the handsome grin that played on his lips before it disappeared. It made him look even more handsome with a boyish charm but it was still clear that he was a man with muscles. He was all man.

He stood up and left the room, but I could hear him making a couple of calls outside.

Nothing made sense to me. Was he so rich that he could just afford to spend thousands out of the blue, and on a child that ‘wasn't’ his?

While I was still lost in thought, nurses and doctors rushed in and took my son straight to the emergency room to get treatment.

The doctor was with them. As I glared at him, he smiled awkwardly. My mystery man walked back in the moment the doctor left.

“That quick?” I asked, still pretty shocked, watching him give me a long, hard look from where he stood. The doctors wouldn't let me into the ward so I knew I just had to wait.

“I always keep to my end of all deals.”

He replied, going through his phone. Everytime his gaze was fixed on me, I felt suffocated and horny.

“Thank you for everything, Mr…”

Then I trailed off. I realized that I had no idea who this man was, even down to his name.

“Please, what's your name? I've not gotten the opportunity to find out just yet.”

Immediately peeling his eyes from his phone, he blinked at me momentarily before he chuckled darkly.

He tucked his phone perfectly inside his pocket and proceeded to glare at me like I asked the most stupid question to ever exist. It scared me as an unfamiliar air washed through me from nowhere.

“You don't know my name? After all these years? You don't know who I am?” He asked in total disbelief, like he was offended.

“I really don't. Please tell me who you are. At least I deserve to know who I'm getting married to..”

“Before signing my contract, you had no idea who I was?” His voice was laced with slight annoyance but I looked past it.

“Why would I lie to you? And who said it was your contract? It's ours.” I said, reminding him.

“You have no idea, Sabrina.” He said quietly to himself but I heard it.

“What's that supposed to mean?”

“You've lived in my pack for years and it's today you'll finally get to know my name.”

“Your pack?” I asked, rather shocked. He was the Alpha of this pack?

“I'm Alpha Kyle, the leader of the ocean dawn pack.” It was a bomb that was too hard to take in. He was the Alpha of my ex husband's rival pack? And now, I was going to get married to him? Why did he help me?

My jaw dropped instantly and he smirked, clearly enjoying watching me feel uneasy and restless.

Soon, the realization hit me.

Alpha Kyle. I had already heard enough of him. I knew the name so well. He was not just a rival Alpha, but the most ruthless.

A ferocious and tenacious leader. He was a legend, a force to not be reckoned with. I had always prayed to never get intertwined or in trouble with this Alpha until I saved up and ran away from the pack. No wonder he exuded such harsh charisma and scent. It made sense now.

Clearly it was too late as I just blindly signed a contract with him, and I was getting married to this scary man.

Everything was fine until I heard his name.

If he was the Alpha of this pack, how did he get an invite to my party? I would've never invited my ex-husband's enemy.

As if he read my mind, he responded before his lips curled into a predatory grin.

He towered above me after he stalked to where I sat with my daughter. I sensed trouble before I felt it because his eyes that once hid his intentions, now displayed them on a golden platter for me to see.

“I didn't get an invite to your party, Miss Sabrina. I went there for you. I went there to see you, and that's why you caught me staring. I've known and I've been watching you for the longest time and now, you're mine.”
