Be My Guest
Sabrina's POV
Snowboarding, the scariest word I've ever heard, especially since it was what Kyle planned to do with the kids today.
We woke up bright and early, had the most amazing and delicious breakfast ever, then I ran straight to my kids room to stay with them. I didn't want to deal with moody Kyle at all because I'd end up feeling bad and guilty when it was the other way around. He's the one that got just one bed!
My kids were becoming a handful and I just couldn't handle it anymore. I asked a maid to make me a cup of hot chocolate, branched the room and took out a sweater (the whole time Kyle was on his phone and didn't even spare me a glance), then I went outside to watch the snow fall.
I didn't like my kids under it didn't mean I hated the snow, I actually loved it a lot more. I was actually at the balcony, sipping my hot chocolate when I got company.
“Why are you out here? We have to get ready for fun.” Kyle walked in but I ignored him and didn't spare him a glance either.
“What I choose to do is none of your business, Kyle. I'm being really understanding but all you keep doing is what you want or what you think is best for me. In reality, you never ask. I promised to listen, so I will, but don't expect any cooperation from me.” I tried to make my warning clear, but it was even much clearer that he didn't take me any seriously.
“I must've really hurt you. You make me sound so terrible.” I raised my head to look at him in anger, because even now he was acting like an asshole, but my next words hung in my throat.
I've seen the man shirtless but I couldn't help but be shocked again from nowhere.
It was friggin cold outside too so why was he shirtless!
He knew the effect he had on me and how good he looked. For a couple of minutes I stood, admiring how handsome he was, of course until he cleared his throat to remind me about how stupid I looked.
As I tried to recover from the embarrassment, I watched him approach me then snatch my hot chocolate from my hands. He took sips from the exact same spot my mouth had been and as he sipped them, his eyes were on mine.
His penetrating eyes were the only things I could see as the rest of his face disappeared behind the cup.
I felt like I was getting undressed by them. His tongue made an appearance as he licked his lips when he was done and gosh, I almost swallowed. It was getting too much. I needed to leave before I began to melt.
This man was more than ready and prepared to torturously seduce me until I succumbed. Interesting.
“Yes, you're the worst.” He suddenly grabbed me by my throat with his free hand and before I knew what was happening, my back was against the wall, his face inches away from mine.
My features hardened and I glared at him in anger, but he wasn't moved. He brought his face closer to mine and I assumed he was about to kiss me, but his tongue just wet a side of my mouth.
As if he took notice of my confusion, he explained himself, backing off.
“You had chocolate there so I wiped it off.”
He did all that to wipe chocolate off the side of my mouth?
It was the sexiest thing that has ever happened to me. I just stood there in shock for a while. He was getting creative and pretending like he didn't know what he was doing to me. I wished he would go back in so he wouldn't catch a cold, although I couldn't show that I cared
Hw turned around to leave.
“Come in, get ready, let's go have fun!”
He said before disappearing from my sight. I finished the rest of my coffee and stayed a little longer, just to piss him off before heading back in.
……
The kids were out in their sweaters and after we walked down the large field covered with snow, Kyle began to teach them how to snowboard. I honestly didn't know he had it in him, but it looked fun, even to me.
Still, I was scared for the kids. Ethan eased into it immediately, enjoying his snowboard but Ellie, she was terrified and I understood her. Obviously it was very scary.
Kyle and Ethan began to stray and I wasn't having it.
“Bring it here where I can see him and make sure he's okay!” I shouted into the distance, hoping he could hear me.
“Relax, you're being such a mom! He's my kid too so let him have fun with me. Go sit down somewhere!” He yelled back at me.
“Kyle!” I was enraged but I decided to let it go and trust him for once. It was hard, but I didn't. I guess, I shouldn't have, ever. All he ever does is lie and make me look crazy when he's the terrible one.
They were coming towards us and I noticed that Ethan wasn't balancing properly. I guess I'll call it mother's instinct, but I noticed it. When I yelled at Kyle to watch him and bring him to safety, he didn't answer me, instead he laughed again. Just before they would reach me, I reached my own kid, lost balance, tripped and did a dangerous somersault in the air before he came crashing down on his head.
“Ethan!” Me and Ellie screamed before we rushed to get to him. I almost shed tears and I had nothing to say to my husband. I just ignored him and got to my son. He also reached us, just when I was picking up a crying Ethan who fell headfirst into the snow.
This is exactly what I was afraid of, exactly why I had kept them away from the snow for years.
His forehead split open and was gushing out blood. It was little but I couldn't take it. I picked him up and began to head back, holding my daughter's hand as we walked side by side.
I expected Kyle to be remorseful, but he wasn't. He covered the distance between us immediately and spoke to me, words I didn't want to hear.
“You're overreacting, Sabrina. Nothing serious happened to him and it's all a part of life. You can't keep him sheltered like this forever. You're not letting him grow up.”
I stopped, then turned to face him in nothing but pure, unparallel anger.
“He's not yours so don't dictate to me about how I'll train my kids. I warned you but you didn't listen!” My face blazed with fury.
“Sabrina–”
“Don't call my name. Just leave me alone. Obviously I knew this was a bad idea, now my son is hurt.”
“Okay, I'll apologize. I'm sorry–”
“Kyle! Oh my gosh Kyle!” A soft voice called from the cabin and when I turned around, a woman was coming towards us. When she came closer, I saw who she was. Carol. Of course, she was here. Why the hell and what the hell?
Kyle looked ahead and saw her too. He seemed shocked, but maybe he was acting. You know this man told me he wasn't seeing her. Why was she here?
Why did she even know where we were? Obviously he didn't respect me enough, just because I gave him permission to keep sleeping with her that I didn't care.
This is the last straw. I can't do this anymore. As always she looked put together, but now she was dressed in such a way that wasn't completely decent, but not so bad at the same time, so if I complained I would end up looking crazy.
She finally got to us and I lost it. I turned to face my husband.
“Why is she here? My kids are here! Have some decency!” I screamed at him. He didn't say a word. He didn't even deny it. He just looked dejected but who was he fooling? His mistress is so audacious, honestly.
Imagine telling me she was his ex girlfriend like I'm stupid. She even had the audacity to say hi to me. I ignored her and faced my husband again.
“I want to go home. Put me on a flight with my kids. If you want to stay here and fuck your mistress, be my guest, you liar!”
I stormed off with a heavy heart but most importantly, to treat my son's wound. I'm so done. I tried after all.
