Chapter 3
As Sarah slapped Hannah and started shouting at her, Hannah felt her world crumbling around her. She had never seen Sarah like this before, and it was terrifying. "Sarah, please!" she cried, trying to make her understand. But it was no use. Sarah wouldn't listen. She kept shouting, her words filled with anger and hurt. In desperation, Hannah glanced around the room, looking for someone - anyone - who might help her. And that's when she saw Liam standing in the doorway. His eyes were wide, and he looked shocked and horrified by what he was seeing. But he didn't just stand there - he stepped in. Liam stepped forward, putting himself between Sarah and Hannah.
"Enough," he said, his voice firm. "You're out of control."
Sarah looked at him in disbelief. "What are you doing?" she demanded. "You're just going to let her get away with this?"
Liam's expression was unreadable. "No one is getting away with anything," he said. "But you're not helping by shouting and hitting her. Let's all just calm down and talk about this."
Sarah stared at him, her mouth agape. She opened and closed it a few times, as if trying to find the words to argue. Just then, Liam led Hannah to his room and gently closed the door. He sat her down on the edge of the bed and went to get her a glass of water. As he handed it to her, he said, "Drink this. It will help you calm down."
Hannah took a few sips of the water, then looked up at Liam. "I don't understand why she's acting like this," she said, her voice small.
Liam sighed. "I think she is just feeling jealous," he said. "She's been struggling a lot lately."
"Hannah," Liam began, his voice warm, "There's something I've been wanting to give you." Liam reached into his drawer and pulled out a small, velvet-covered box. He held it out to Hannah. "I wanted to give you this," he said.
Hannah took the box from him, her hands trembling slightly. She lifted the lid and saw a delicate necklace inside, with a single diamond in the center. "It's beautiful," she whispered, tears forming in her eyes.
"Just like you," Liam said, his gaze unwavering. He reached across the table, his touch sending shivers down her spine. "May I?"
Hesitantly, Hannah nodded. Liam carefully clasped the necklace around her neck, the cool metal sending a pleasant tingle against her skin. As he fastened the clasp, his fingers lingered for a moment, sending a jolt of electricity through her. she breathed, lifting her gaze to meet his.
"Thank you, But Liam, "I don't deserve it," she said.
Liam reached out and took her hand in his, his eyes pleading. "Please, Hannah. Just accept it. It's nothing fancy, just a small token of my affection. Please?"
Hannah bit her lip, a war raging inside of her. She didn't want to take his gift, but she also didn't want to hurt him. After a moment, she nodded, her eyes still downcast.
Liam decided to ask about Hannah's past life and parents, he asked, "can I know more about your past and precisely your parents?"
Hannah sighed. "My father led a small pack, but his territory bordered a much larger and more powerful pack. The leader of the larger pack was a ruthless and cruel man, who constantly threatened my father and his pack. One day, the other pack attacked, and my father fought while trying to protect me. But it didn't go well as he was heavily wounded. Just then another pack arrived, led by a strong and brave man named Lawrence Casey. He and his pack drove off the attacking pack and saved my father and my remaining pack members. But my father didn't make it. He asked Lawrence to take good care of me before he died. The pack continued to grow, and when I was 15, he passed away. Then, Alpha Austin, his son, turned me into a maid. It was Sarah who was the only person close to me and didn't treat me as a slave. That's how it has been till now."
Liam gasped, his eyes widening with empathy and understanding. "Hannah, I had no idea," he said softly, reaching out to squeeze her hand. "You've been through so much."
Hannah nodded, tears brimming in her eyes. "I'm sorry I might not be a good use to you, I'm just going to be a useless Luna and besides who would want a weak rouge Luna ," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
As Liam gazed into Hannah's eyes, his voice filled with unwavering determination. "You have nothing to worry about. I promise that nobody will harm you or do anything to you again. From now on, you're my Luna, and nothing can change that," he declared, his words carrying the weight of his commitment. "You're strong, Hannah, stronger than you know, and you will keep getting stronger."
With a gentle smile, he reached for her hand, his touch grounding her in his reassurance. "Come on, let me take you somewhere," he urged, a hint of excitement in his voice.
As they moved toward the door, their path was abruptly blocked by Austin, the Alpha of Hannah's former pack. Liam's expression hardened, his voice cool and composed. "Austin why are you blocking my path," he said firmly. "Hannah is under my protection now, and I won't allow anyone to threaten her safety."
Austin's stance remained defiant, his voice tinged with frustration. "Liam, you can't just leave and take her as you like. She belongs to my pack, and I can't let you take her away without consequences," he insisted, his tone resolute.
Sensing the tension escalating, Luke, Liam's Beta, stepped forward, his eyes blazing with a fierce intensity. Blue light flickered in his gaze as his fangs began to protrude, a silent warning to anyone who dared challenge his Alpha's authority. He stood ready to defend Liam and Hannah with every fiber of his being.
Just as the standoff reached its peak, Sarah entered the room, her expression a mixture of concern and uncertainty. Taking in the scene before her, she positioned herself beside Austin, her voice strained with apprehension. "Alpha Liam, we didn't mean it like that. We're just concerned that she might end up dragging you down. She's weak and can't help you in any way," she argued, her words laced with an unjustifiable bitterness.
Liam's gaze hardened, his patience wearing thin. "That's not your concern, Sarah," he retorted, his tone tinged with a warning. "I hope you won't try to stand in my way again. Otherwise, I can't guarantee what will happen."
With that final declaration, Liam turned on his heel, his resolve unshaken. Leading Hannah away from the confrontation, he remained steadfast in his determination to protect her at all costs. Soon they arrived at a very huge magestic mansion, then Liam held her hand's and guided her into the Mansion
