Chapter 20 Expressionless
Scales Lu was speechless.
He couldn't bear it. "When did I say that I want to be good for you?"
Valen Gu shut up and her cheeks bulged.
She lowered her head and rubbed her toes against the ground.
At this time, Scales Lu suddenly stood up from the sofa again.
Valen Gu raised her head.
Scales Lu glanced at her and sneered, "Are you really stupid or too good at pretending, huh?"
Valen Gu did not speak.
She just looked at him, her eyes were as clear as a clean spring.
Scales Lu whispered something, turned around, and left.
Valen Gu wanted to call him, but on second thought, she did not make a sound. Instead, the housekeeper chased after him, and hurriedly explained something to the man. Scales Lu did not speak. He was angry and expressionless.
Valen Gu sat back on the sofa and continued to watch TV as if nothing had happened.
. . .
Soon, Friday arrived.
After getting up this morning, Valen Gu went downstairs and said good morning to the housekeeper while walking to the kitchen.
The housekeeper followed her and said with a smile, "Little Mrs. Lu, you got up quite early today."
"Really?"
Valen Gu laughed.
She said in a clear voice, "I slept early last night, so I got up early!"
While speaking, she walked into the dining area and sat down.
The housekeeper stood aside and said, "Today's breakfast is sandwich, milk, and fruit. What else do you need?"
"Enough."
Valen Gu nodded.
Soon the maid served the breakfast.
When Valen Gu was eating halfway, Scales Lu came in. He was wearing a black shirt, which made him look handsome. He was expressionless all the way.
"Good morning!"
Valen Gu took the initiative to say.
Scales Lu glanced at her and replied faintly.
Then the dining area became quiet again.
Valen Gu was drinking milk, while Scales Lu was drinking coffee. He drank very slowly and read the newspaper at the same time. The fine sunshine outside the window covered him, making him look like a God.
Of course, it would be better if we ignore his expression.
"I'm done!"
After finishing the milk, Valen Gu stood up from her seat while talking.
Scales Lu looked at the newspaper and said slowly, "Don't run around after school today. I will come to pick you up."
"Oh..."
Valen Gu nodded.
In the end, she asked curiously, "Why do you pick me up?"
Scales Lu finally raised his head.
He looked at the girl and said flatly, "I'll take you to see a friend."
"Who is he?"
Valen Gu continued to ask.
Scales Lu had always been impatient, and what he hated most was that others kept asking him.
However, instead of answering, he looked away.
Valen Gu had been with him for so many days, and she knew that he was not easy to deal with. Seeing that he didn't want to talk, she didn't ask any more questions and said, "okay, I'll go first. Goodbye!"
Scales Lu frowned slightly and still did not speak.
Valen Gu looked at him for the last time, then turned around and walked out.
The housekeeper followed the girl until she got into the car. He waved his hand with a smile and said, "Goodbye, Little Mrs. Lu!"
