Chapter 16 Nathan's Personal Life
Perhaps, my attitude had angered Perry. He turned his face abruptly to look at me, full of anger and blame in his eyes.
"Perry Bart! How dare you call me a cheap woman? You are far worse than me in comparison. Not only you are cheap, but you are also a scumbag! Don't forget you cheated with my best friend at our wedding home behind my back. How dare you scold me now? Who do you think you are? If you can sleep with other women, why can't I do the same?"
I yelled at him furiously. At that moment, I didn't care if people around me heard me. I clearly saw the change in Perry's expression after I yelled at him.
"I know, the matter between me and Courtney hurt you deeply. But you can't just sleep with other men casually. Do you know who Nathan is?"
Perry's tone was softer now, but it was still full of blame.
"You don’t need to tell me what kind of person Nathan is. Perry, we are over now. It doesn’t matter to you even if I sleep with any man. From now on, we are strangers and I hope you'll breakup with Courtney soon!"
I suppressed the anger inside me and spoke coldly, bypassing him and left.
He didn't catch up to me again. I just made up my mind. If he questioned me again, I would definitely give him a slap in his face without hesitation because he deserved it.
He was fortunate that he didn't follow me, or else he would have been slapped.
My good mood was completely destroyed by Perry. I was in low spirits recently, so I decided to completely let loose for the last time tonight.
I bought beer and a large pack of snacks from the supermarket. It was already evening when I arrived at the moat.
I called Liliana and asked her to accompany me for a drink. Nevertheless, Liliana was busy working overtime and she could only come once she got off work so I had no choice but to drink alone.
The cool breeze blew on my face. It felt comfortable. I was drinking alone and felt tipsy quickly since I was not a good drinker.
I saw a couple arguing nearby. The man looked like Nathan.
While the woman looked like the popular celebrity-Alana Gills.
Why was he here? And he was even with a popular celebrity.
Nathan knew so many people, and he even knew the popular celebrities.
Just when I couldn’t help but question their relationship, Nathan suddenly looked in my direction. I was flustered and quickly turned around so he couldn't see my face. But I eavesdropped on their conversation, wanting to know what they were talking about. After all, everyone loved gossips.
"Nathan, I know I was wrong. Would you forgive me? I promise I will never do it again."
Alana spoke.
"I've told you clearly. We are over. Don't pester me anymore."
I heard Nathan's voice and his tone seemed to be impatient.
"Nathan, don’t treat me coldly. If there's anything I can change, I'll change it. I'll change and conform to your ideals. OK? As long as you don't leave me, that will do."
With the dim lights around the moat, I looked towards their direction secretly. I became bolder since Nathan's back was facing me.
