Chapter 14 What’s Your Name
Most importantly, Frederick somehow felt familiar when he saw Alice, just like how he felt earlier.
Finally, she untied her hair from the brooch. Just as Alice was about to walk away, Frederick suddenly grabbed her hand, startling her with his cold fingers. Immediately, she looked back at him, her eyes full of doubt.
"Excuse me?"
Frederick narrowed his eyes. When he touched her arm, several fragments of memory flashed across his mind, and electricity flowed through his body.
That unfamiliar feeling made him feel strange yet surprising at the same time.
"What's your name?"
His indifferent and deep voice sounded like a cello, beautiful.
Her name?
Frowning, Alice became confused, thinking that she had misheard Frederick.
"My brooch is broken."
He added faintly, and his gaze cold.
It was only then that she realized that one of the wings of his eagle-shaped brooch was gone. Lowering her head, Alice saw the golden wing that had already fallen to the ground, somehow looking pitiful.
Um...
Wasn't this brooch too fragile? How could it be broken so easily when it was just her hair that was tangled on it?
"I'm really sorry, sir. Uh, I-I really didn't notice that I broke your brooch."
Alice acknowledged that it was still her fault, no matter if it was because of the quality of the brooch or her hair.
"Give me your name and contact information. I'll contact you for my compensation." As Frederick spoke, his gaze was sharp and deep, emotionless.
Knowing that she was in the wrong, Alice told him her name and contact number since she still had to look for Boyo.
"My name is Alice Maynard, and my phone number is 150......"
Nodding in satisfaction, Frederick then let go of her hand.
"Sir—"
Upon hearing the sound coming from the washroom, Glenn walked in, only to see Frederick holding a woman's arm. With that, he was stunned on the spot, unable to say anything. Then, he looked at the scene in front of him in astonishment as if he had seen the apocalypse.
Frederick Ward, holding a woman's hand.
Holy crap!
Did he see it wrongly?!
Glenn rubbed his eyes in disbelief when he saw Frederick asking Alice for her name and contact number. What's more, there was no sign of impatience on his face since the beginning.
Frederick was extremely sensitive and hated anyone of the opposite sex since young, and even his mother had complaints.
Every time he went home for dinner, he would sit alone at the dining table because he felt that it was unhygienic to sit with others, including his mother.
But now, he was so intimate with a woman.
Watching the lady in a red dress leave, Glenn finally went forward and carefully observed Frederick's expression.
Inexplicably, he looked satisfied.
"Sir, who was that lady just now?"
The next second, the expression on Frederick's face instantly turned cold. After that, he shot Glenn a warning look.
"Sorry, I'm talking too much nonsense!"
Hurriedly, Glenn lowered his head and apologized. Knowing that he had provoked Frederick, he didn't dare to ask any further questions.
