Chapter 3 Please Let Me Go
Eleonora's indifference deeply hurt Quentin.
He squatted down and reached out his hand to grab Eleonora's chin.
Eleonora raised her head and looked at Quentin, who was extremely angry, with her deep eyes.
His eyes, as deep as black gems, seemed to pierce through Eleonora. His lips curved into a sarcastic arc. "Are you cursing me hundreds of times in your heart? Woman, just say what you want to say. You don't have to be so hypocritical. Is hypocrisy the synonym of the Balton family? Your father is like this, so are you!"
Finally, she could not help bursting into tears.
Her tears made Quentin feel stinging, but he still strengthened the force of his hand. Eleonora felt that her whole chin was almost not hers anymore.
"I've said that I hated tears! Stop your hypocritical tears! Don't cry in front of me. I'm still alive, and I don't need you to cry," Quentin said ruthlessly. His eyes were like bloodthirsty beasts, as if he would tear her apart if she dared to make trouble again.
Eleonora knew that she had done nothing right in his eyes.
"If you hate me so much, please let me go. Why do you let me get in your way?" Eleonora sobbed and said.
"Uh-huh, very good. You finally tell me your true thoughts. Ask me to let you go, and give you freedom? No way!"
Quentin pushed Eleonora away mercilessly. Eleonora fell back feebly. She stretched out her hand to support the ground. Unexpectedly, her palm was stabbed into the broken porcelain pieces on the ground. Instantly, red blood was flowing out.
Eleonora took a deep breath in pain.
Quentin turned around and saw the blood on her hand. His heart trembled slightly. He couldn't help reaching out his hand, but then put it down when he reached it into the air.
He said in a cold and heavy voice, "Hurry up and deal with these problems. Don't you know that I can't stand any dirt or chaos?"
Eleonora answered and got up. She endured the pain and found the medicine chest. After treating the wound, she simply bandaged it.
Then she went to deal with the mess on the ground.
Quentin stood aside, looked at her thin figure, and felt his heart twitch.
How could he feel sorry?
How could it be?
Impossible!
Didn't he want to torture her by marrying her? Didn't he want to take revenge on her?
Did her some minor injuries matter?
Compared to his father, this was nothing.
Thinking of this, the pity in Quentin's heart disappeared in an instant.
"We'll get a divorce tomorrow!"
Behind her came the cold voice of Quentin, which was like a sound drifting from hell.
Divorce?
Was he finally willing to let her go?
"Oh!" Eleonora replied mechanically.
In Quentin's world, she had to obey everything unconditionally.
She agreed without hesitation. Presumably, this was the most urgent expectation in her heart.
Quentin thought it indignantly.
"We have notarized the property before we got married. Everything of the Lance family belongs to the pre-marital property, so you can basically go out of the house with nothing. But considering that you have been Mrs. Lance for a year, I'll leave this mansion to you!"
"No, I don't want anything!" Eleonora said stubbornly.
Quentin smiled contemptuously and said, "Don't ask for anything? You describe yourself so noble!"
Eleonora knew that in his eyes, the people of the Balton family were so unbearable.
"I've told you a long time ago that if I divorce you, I'll get out of the house with nothing." Eleonora's voice was not loud, but there was a kind of stubbornness that could not be refused.
As long as Quentin no longer tortured her and she could leave him, it was enough for her. She did not expect to get anything in this short marriage.
"You're not worse than my other women, not to mention that you've been Mrs. Lance for a year. Even if you're a mistress, you've bowed to serve me for the whole year!" Quentin sneered and said.
His words made Eleonora feel very uncomfortable.
Yes, in his opinion, his wife was just a puppet and a tool for him to vent his anger. This year, his physical and mental torture to her was really like a long nightmare.
Over the past year, Eleonora had been praying all the time that this nightmare could be ended as soon as possible.
Now he finally said the word she wanted to hear the most, which was divorce.
Eleonora suddenly felt relaxed.
