Chapter 14 Heartbreaker

On Friday, it was the death anniversary for Eleonora's mother for half a year.

Due to the company's activities, Anna could not walk away. So Eleonora went to the cemetery alone.

She bought a bouquet of flowers - a mixture of a white bouquet of lotus, carnations, and the lilies.

Her mother loved whiteness when she was alive.

Eleonora walked to her mother's tombstone and saw a bunch of fresh white chrysanthemums.

There was still incense burning in front of the tomb. Thin smoke was curling up. It could be seen that the person had just left.

Without guessing, Eleonora knew that it must be Simon Balton.

Eleonora walked over, picked up the bouquet of white chrysanthemums angrily, and threw it hard on the ground.

"You caused my mother to die. Do you still have the face to come here? When my mother sees you, she will also be sad in hell! You actually have the face to see my mother. Why don't you have the courage to stand up to face the Lance family?" She bit her lips and held back the tears that were about to burst out.

Why did he come here? How could he have the face to see her mother again? If it weren't for him, her mother wouldn't have died so fast.

"Simon, I hate you!"

This sentence had repeated for hundreds and thousands of times in her mind.

All along, Eleonora had felt that her parents had loved each other very much. Her mother had been in poor health, and her father had always taken good care of her. Eleonora had always thought that she was the happiest child in the world. Until more than a year ago, she finally knew that her father, whom she had always been proud of, was actually such a hypocrite.

Her original wonderful world collapsed with a loud crash.

In the face of her father who seemed to have disappeared, her mother had finally become depressed and sick.

The moment before death, her mother had held Eleonora's hand tightly and said intermittently, "Eleonora, your father is definitely not such a person... He owes me an explanation... I know he must have some unsaid difficulties. Eleonora, after I die, find your father and ask him if there is anything he can't say to me. We have a deal, and we have to face everything together."

The moment her mother died, she had always been looking at the door of the hospital and didn't want to close her eyes.

Eleonora knew that her mother had been waiting for the unfaithful man until the last moment.

But he hadn't showed up in the end.

Her mother had died with regret.

The seeds of hatred rooted in the bottom of her heart.

What was he doing in the mother's tomb? Did he repent it?

She didn't need it!

Eleonora gently stroked the photo of her mother in front of the tomb.

Her mother in the photo was so young and beautiful.

She smiled sweetly and looked at Eleonora quietly.

"Mom, I miss you so much!" Eleonora sobbed.

At this time, behind a tall cypress tree not far from Eleonora was a man.

A middle-aged man was leaning against the trunk, with two lines of tears falling from the corners of his eyes.

He knew that his wife and daughter would never forgive him in this life.

He looked at the thin body of Eleonora kneeling in front of the tombstone. He really wanted to go out and hold his daughter tightly in his arms. But what qualifications did he have?

He wanted to talk to his wife and daughter about the bitterness in his heart, but would they listen?

He caused his wife to die and hurt his daughter.

Because of him, his wife had died with hatred and he couldn't get back to look at her even at the end of her life.

It was also because of him that Quentin had married his daughter.

More than a year ago, he stood far away outside the church where his daughter was holding a wedding. He had wanted to stop her, but he couldn't.

He could not let his only daughter be threatened anymore.

He had lost his son and wife, leaving only his daughter. He couldn't lose his daughter. He couldn't lose her!

Simon gently wiped away the tears at the corners of his eyes.
