Chapter 10 His Possessions Were Like Thorns for Me
Eleonora pushed away Anna's face, which was magnified twice as big as hers when Anna approached her. She said, "Anna, if Quentin is willing to let me go, I should thank the god. I don't want their possessions. They were like thorns for me!"
"Would the president with tens of billions of dollars care about these things? Why is it a thorn for you?" Anna felt that Eleonora must have been crazy. If it were she, after the sacrifice of at least a year, she would have taken some money for the loss of her youth.
"Anna, long live the freedom. You don't even know how happy I was when Quentin said that he wanted to divorce me. I'm going to get rid of my bitterness." Eleonora couldn't help feeling relaxed.
"But, Eleonora, what should you do in the future? The land where your villa was located has long been purchased by the Lance family and transformed into a large entertainment venue, and auntie... you just go out like this. You don't have a job, and you don't have a deposit. You..." Anna was really worried about what would happen to her in the future.
"Anna, I'm just being shameless. I'll go to your place for the time being. Although I know that your place is small and inconvenient, there's nothing I can do. Now you're my closest relative. I'll find a job as soon as possible and rent a house to move out of yours," Eleonora said in a bitter voice.
Anna looked at her and felt uncomfortable. She quickly hugged Eleonora and said, "Eleonora, as long as you don't mind my shabby house, you can stay there for as long as you want."
"Anna, I'm glad you're here!" Eleonora said feebly as she laid in Anna's soft arms.
When she was in college, she, Anna Stern, and Yvonne had been the three top beauties in the university. They had been the closest to each other. But later, because of Quentin, Yvonne naturally ignored Eleonora.
Now, Eleonora had no helper here. Her father's matter had broken the relationship between her mother's relatives and her family. Now, she had even no relatives.
After leaving the Lance family, she should get used to it for a while and start over again.
When the two of them were hugging each other, the doorbell rang.
Eleonora got up, took the visual phone, and asked who it was.
It was Quentin's lawyer who came in.
He did keep his promise.
Around ten o'clock, the lawyer arrived as agreed.
"Miss Balton, I'm Samuel Cobb, the lawyer of Young Master Lance. He asked me to come over and discuss the divorce matter with you," a thin and tall middle-aged man said politely.
Miss Balton, her Young Mistress address had been changed before she signed the divorce agreement. Eleonora smiled bitterly and said, "Thank you, Lawyer Cobb."
Lawyer Cobb got straight to the point and immediately took out the divorce agreement from his briefcase.
"Miss Balton, this is a divorce agreement. Please have a look. Besides, Young Master Lance has given you this mansion as a compensation for you. As for the rest of the property, they are the pre-marital property. Miss Balton also said that you didn't want anything. So except for this mansion, Miss Balton, you get nothing. This is an agreement. If you agree with it, you can sign it. Besides, this is the contract of this mansion."
Lawyer Cobb put two piles of documents on the jade tea table.
"Lawyer Cobb, I've said that I didn't accept anything from the Lance family. I've already made a deal with Quentin last night. I won't accept the mansion." Eleonora insisted on asking for nothing.
Anna, who was standing by the side, was really mad with anger.
This mansion was located in the most luxurious and valuable area of City A. It was so luxurious, high-end, and the area was so large. It was worth at least ten million dollars. If Eleonora sold it, she would have no worries about food and clothing for the rest of her life. She was really stupid, for she didn't want it.
