Dorm - 3••

Lio's POV

“Oh, you’re here?” I said.

But his expression told me something was wrong. And why was he looking at me like I’d committed a crime?

“What were you doing with my mobile?” His sharp tone accused me outright.

“I wasn’t doing anything. Your phone was ringing again and again, so I answered it. It was your boyfriend.”

Hearing me, he bumped his shoulder hard into mine as he passed and snatched up his phone. He checked it immediately, like I had stolen something from it.

Just then, Zoha and the black-haired omega reached inside .

“What happened?” Zoha asked.

The brown-haired omega scratched his head with an exaggeratedly worried look. Overacting, much?

“I forgot my phone here, you both know that, right? While I was gone, my boyfriend called—and that bitch omega answered it. And when I came back, he had already put it down. Means he must have done something else with my mobile too!”

My eyes widened. What did he just call me? Bitch? How dare he!

“Lio, why did you talk to his boyfriend?” Zoha said, his voice dripping with contempt. “I know no alpha likes you, but you can’t go after someone else’s alpha.”

I glared at him.

“I’m not interested in any ugly alphas. And that phone was ringing nonstop, so I answered. If you were so worried about your precious mobile, why’d you forget it here in the first place?”

Both Zoha and the black-haired omega quickly moved to stand beside the brown-haired one.

Three pairs of eyes glared at me like I was the culprit.

“The fuck are you looking at me like that for? Wanna die or something?” I shouted.

Enough was enough. I couldn’t keep pretending to be gentle when these people were crossing the line.

“Hey! How dare you talk to us like that?” the brown-haired omega snapped.

“What? I can tell you already have a problem with me—even though we’ve never met. But that’s Zoha’s doing, isn’t it? He poisoned you, and you fools believed him. Fine. I don’t want to stay with you either.”

I grabbed my mobile and stormed out, heading straight for the first-floor dean’s counter.

“Sir, I want to change my room. I’m currently in room 098 on the fifth floor.”

The dean was busy at his computer, but he glanced up at me and typed a few things before speaking.

“Why do you want to change rooms? I remember your brother is also in the same room as you.”

So it was his doing—he’d put me with Zoha because we were brothers. But why without asking me first?

“He’s my stepbrother. And we don’t get along. I can’t live with him, so please, I want to move.”

“There’s one vacancy on the eighth floor, room number 000. The student who was assigned there asked for a swap. If you want, I’ll assign it to you and move him into your room instead.”

I nodded quickly. No hesitation.

Dorms had two buildings—one for omegas and one for alphas. And now I had been assigned to the eighth floor, room 000.

I hurried back, packed my things again, and was just finishing when the omega who wanted the swap arrived. I waved at him so he’d know it was me. He came over with his luggage, and while I folded clothes on my bed, he sat down and even started helping.

“Hey… don’t move into that room,” he suddenly said.

I looked at him, confused. “What do you mean? Did something happen to you when you were there? Is that why you wanted to change?”

At my words, his hands froze. My clothes slipped from his fingers. He stared blankly at the wall beside the bed.

I bent down, picked up the fallen clothes, and packed them myself.

“Actually… that guy was weird. He said he can summon ghosts. No, no—I don’t want to remember it. Please, don’t ask. Just… take my advice and don’t move into that room.”

“It’s fine. I have my own reasons for moving out, so I’ll have to take it.”

He didn’t tell me the details, and I didn’t force him.

When I was finished, I grabbed my luggage and left. I took the elevator up again. But just as the doors were closing, someone stepped in—a tall alpha.

What was an alpha doing in the omega dorm building?

I minded my own business. It wasn’t worth asking.

He didn’t press any button, just leaned against the wall, typing on his phone.

I pulled out my own phone and scrolled through Funtub to pass the time. But suddenly—

“Hey, you’re beautiful.”

I looked up at him. “What did you say?”

“Didn’t you hear? You’re beautiful. Wanna date me?”

“No, I’m not interested.”

The next second, he slammed me against the wall.

My back hit the wall with a sharp pain. He had slammed me hard—just because I said I wasn’t interested?

“What the actual heck!” I shouted.

“You’re just an omega. How dare you reject me?” His lips curled with arrogance. “I think you’ll know your place once I force you into heat.”

His expression was dripping with superiority, but all it did was fill me with disgust.

I shoved him hard in the chest, forcing him back. He thought he could throw his strength around with me?

What he didn’t know was that alpha pheromones had no effect on me—and I was naturally just as strong as him.

“What, scared now?” he snickered, looking down at me.

I smiled coldly. Without wasting another second, my fist connected squarely with his chin. The force sent him crashing against the side wall, blood spilling from his mouth.

“Satisfied now? That’s what you get for messing with me, jerk.”

At that exact moment, the elevator doors slid open onto my floor. I brushed off my clothes, grabbed my luggage, and walked out without a backward glance.

As I walked away, the sound of the elevator doors closing echoed behind me. I glanced back—no one was there.

The hallway was eerily silent, almost too quiet. It felt like no one lived on this floor at all.

Dragging my luggage behind me, I made my way to room 000. When I finally reached it, I raised my hand and knocked.

But the moment my knuckles touched the wood, the door creaked open on its own.

Inside, it was pitch dark. Not a single light. A strange chill ran down my spine. Something about this room was… wrong.
