Chapter 4

She had blonde bouncy hair that stopped just below her shoulders. Through her thick glasses, I could see her slant gorgeous blue eyes that made me mesmerized by them. Her lips were small, yet puffy, giving a cute appearance.

My eyes trailed down to her chest. They were full and round. She wore a gown that showed part of her cleavage. She also had huge hips accompanied by a voluminous backside.

She is sexy as fuck!

I didn't even know I was still holding her until she said ;

“You can let go of me now.”

I immediately let go of her, apologizing for my lingering.

“Thank you,” she replied.

“I’m so sorry. I was just so mesmerized by your beauty. You are stunning. May I have your number?”

Instead of blushing like most girls did, the woman just rolled her eyes and walked off.

She didn't stop to listen to me when I called her back, hoping to get her name.

Just like that, she was gone. She disappeared into the crowd and I didn't see her again.

I just had to stick with the bridesmaid till the end of the party, even though I could not stop thinking about the woman.

Unfortunately, the party didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped.

Aside from my father nagging me for being a flirt and urging me to get married, my ex-girlfriend, Denise was at the party.

I was dancing with a bridesmaid who had a banging body named Vanessa. We were laughing and joking around as we danced.

I had not known my crazy ex-girlfriend was at the party and had seen me with another woman. Perhaps I would have been more careful.

Soon, Denise made her presence known and of course, dramatically.

Denise took a glass of beer, emptied its contents, and walked to us, the dancing couple.

“Hi, handsome,” she said when she got there.

We stopped and looked at her. Denise ignored Vanessa's glare and waved at me.

“How are you enjoying the party? I thought you wouldn’t come since I didn't see you on time,” Denise said to me, her signature nasty smile plastered to her face.

“Well, I arrived late. I hope you are enjoying the party as well,” I said.

“Of course I am.”

“What do you want? “Vanessa asked Denise rudely.

Denise turned to look at Vanessa.

“Oh, you're here? I didn't even notice. I mean, no one will with that tacky dressing.”

“You…” Vanessa wanted to say something nasty but stopped and looked at me, saying, “Let's just continue dancing. Ignore her.”

I obliged, and we continued dancing, moving further and further away from Denise, whose face was as red as a tomato from how embarrassed she was.

We kept on dancing to the beat of the music and then Vanessa joked about my tie.

I laughed loudly.

I think Denise heard my laughter again and when she saw Vanessa laughing happily as I twirled her around, she got so jealous.

She marched up to us and stopped us again.

“What do you think you are doing?!” Vanessa asked angrily.

“Taking my man, “Denise replied and laughed. Then she held out her hand to me.

“Would you like to dance with me?”

“ Taking your man? What does that even mean, you dumb bitch?”

“It means you are dancing with the love of my life, and I want him to dance with me now. So , would you do me the honor of dancing with me?” Denise asked, fluttering her eyelashes at me.

This was too much. This woman was now getting on my nerves. How is she so sure that I want to dance with her?

Moreover, does she think I'm just someone she could grab and take any time she wants?

“Why would I want to dance with you when I have someone I'm already dancing with?” I asked.

Deep inside, Denise must know she is acting stupid, yet she didn’t want to stop.

“You are the man of my dreams. I miss you so much!,” she shouted, wrapping her hand around my arm, “Come back to me. Let's be together again.”

“No.”

My rejection was firm and cold. The people around us laughed. Denise's face grew even redder than it had been before.

She looked like she was embarrassed. I couldn’t help it. I had to be firm if I wanted her to leave me alone.

But I forgot that it was Denise I was dealing with, someone who nearly threw acid on me during an argument.

I overestimated her intelligence, thinking she'd take a hint and leave me alone.

Because the next second, when I and Vanessa shared a quick kiss, and as if that didn’t hurt enough, Vanessa looked at her triumphantly and made a snide remark, Denise flew into a rage.

Denise must have completely forgotten we were at a party and lunged at Vanessa, grabbing her by the hair and pulling it. They broke into a fight and started to wrestle like wild cats while everyone at the party stared at them in horror. They were fighting, kicking, and screaming, attracting the attention of everyone and even causing the party to halt.

That was until I separated them with my massive arms, holding Vanessa close to my body and slightly shoving Denise, causing her almost to lose her balance and fall.

“What the hell is wrong with you?!” I asked furiously, glaring at Denise.

“I just want you to dance with me. I love you. Don't be with Vanessa! She's not a good person! She’s a witch pretending to be an angel!”

Vanessa looked at me and began to cry. I comforted her, wiping away her tears with his hands and tightening my hold on her waist.

Denise fumed.

I watched from the corner of my eye, the woman I had earlier bumped into. Though everyone's eyes were on me and Denise and Vanessa, she paid me no mind and pressed her phone instead!

“Vanessa is only pretending!” Denise said, interrupting my thoughts.

“She is faking those tears, Desmond! She is… I'm the one for you….”

“Shut up, Psycho! I have ignored your antics for years, but this is too much. You need to stop. I will never date someone as crazy as you again. Even if you were the last person on Earth, I wouldn’t do it, so stop your nonsense and get a life!”

Denise looked very hurt by my words. I almost wished I hadn't spoken like that but she had been getting on my nerves.

Denise suddenly grabbed a cup of wine and tried to aim at me, tripped in the process, only to let the red wine pour over Alyssa's wedding dress.
