Chapter 2

SIX YEARS LATER

THE MOON SCARLET PACK

The ceramic plate slipped from her palm and shattered on the floor, calling the attention of the people around her. She stiffened at that spot, staring at the pieced plate while the chef hurried closer.

She bent to pick them, but a strong yank on her hair caused her to let out a loud, painful groan. The pain was excruciating. She struggled to escape the chef, but the grip became intense.

“You stupid wolfless thing!” The chef pushed her forward, and she slammed her head on the cabinet. “Why can't you do anything right? Whatever you lay your hands on would be destroyed. That's why you don't have a wolf and common sense.”

“Odessa!” came another voice from the corridor. They all swirled their neck towards the door to see who it was that mentioned her name. The chief beta of the Alpha Kings showed up before them. “You must follow me now…..”

She sniffled, still rubbing her forehead. She looked at the chef and the others around but didn't say a thing. All she had to do was to walk away with the Beta without knowing why she was being called.

That has been her fate right after the death of her parents. She became a slave in her palace. Her wolf was taken away from her, making her weaker than a mere human.

They all call her a murderer because they insist that she poisoned her parents to death. Her brothers despised even her footsteps….not even a person in the palace loved her.

She walked to the Beta and bowed to him.

“Beta, can you let her pack up this dirt first?” the chef said, her fingers pointing at Odessa.

Odessa glanced at the Beta, who couldn't even spare her a glance. “I'll do it when I'm back. Just leave it there.” she responded to the chef, scowling.

Beta Khal snorted and walked away, and then she followed him instantly. They reached Beta's office, and he locked up the door, dropped the rope he was holding, and began unbuckling his trousers. “Strip your clothes!”

Her eyes flew wide. “Huh!”

He turned to her, “You heard me well, Odessa. Don't waste my time.”

She stepped backwards, shaking her head. They had molested her so much, and she endured everything. Why would it reach this? She wasn't his girlfriend—and he even has one. Why would he want to abuse her sexually all because he knows that her brothers or their Luna will do nothing?

“Stop wasting my precious time. I'll be real quick so you can go clean up the mess you made,” he uttered, staring right at her face.

Odessa pouted her lips, “I can't do it! I'm sorry.”

“Who said so? Aren't you old enough to be fucked? You're twenty-two years of age, aren't you?” he dashed closer to her but she slipped away from his palm. “Look, you can't get out of here until I get this done. You are in this palace to serve everyone in every way unless you wish to be executed as a murderer.”

She glared at him, “I'm not a murderer. I didn't poison them.”

“Spare me the yell. You owe your brothers that.” he snapped back at her.

She swallowed the bile that had formed in her throat. “I wonder how you will stand before my brothers as their right-hand man when you abused their sister. Don't you have a conscience? Can't you think of it and know that you will cross the boundary if you do this?”

“She's lecturing me…..” he mumbled and dragged her closer to him, his palm gripping her collar. “Your life doesn't matter to your brothers, or have you forgotten?”

She felt a cold pit form in her belly. Beta Khal is one of the mighty men in the Pack after her brothers, which means that the probability of escaping from him is zero percent.

“If they weren't your brothers, they would have done the same thing over and over again. You should be grateful that you weren't killed.”

Huh!? Wasn't it better to be killed than to be a servant in her father's house? Even an Omega has more value than her who was supposed to be seen as an Alpha Princess.

“Then, execute me instead. I can't sate your sexual cravings…..” she retorted at him, hoping to pull out of his grip, but it tightened more.

He looked her in the eyes, his lips stretched into a devilish smirk. “You must think that I'm seeking your permission right?” he dug her fingers into her skin, his palm grabbing her throat. “It's one of your duties here.”

Before she could say a thing, he swung her around and made her bend low, her face resting on the table alongside her arms. A lump formed in her throat. Her heart raced faster. There was nothing she could do to save her ass, but one thing she was scared of was Beta Khal finding out that she wasn't a virgin.

Everyone thinks she is still untouched. The incident that took place between her and the cursed lycan king six years ago was still a secret only she knew about. Even though her vagina must have tightened again, he would probably know that she had been fucked by a man, and that would lead to greater punishment from her brothers.

He spanked her ass and lifted her skirt, making her heart skip.

Wouldn't it be better to be fucked again and again by the cursed king than her rival? Everyone in the palace hated her because they thought she was the murderer, and she detested them for believing that she would do that to her parents.

Beta Khal got his hands on her panties. She concealed her lips to not scream although it was of no use….but she would hate herself after this time. Heaven knows she won't be able to stand before him again.

‘Just do it!’ she almost screamed at him, but the sudden sound of a globe on the table shattering on the floor pulled their attention.

Beta Khal twisted his face, staring at the globe until he was completely away from her. He picked up the globe, staring at it. It was a heavy thing that shouldn't taste the floor unless intentionally….then a heavy wind blew, tearing the curtains in the room apart.

Odessa hurried and pulled back her panties, slowly moving to the door.

She halted the moment the wind kicked the door apart and it fell off.

“What the heck!” Beta Khal yelled.

Screams of females filled the building. The servants were running helter-skelter in the corridor.

Odessa found her feet glued to the floor. The more she tried to move, her feet hurt. “This wind!” she moistened her lips, reminiscing on the day the cursed king showed up six years ago in the hut. “We can't meet again. This shouldn't be him,” she muttered, turning, but Beta Khal had unsheathed his sword and left the office.

She looked around. “I have to leave here before they accuse me of something again….” She tried to raise her leg, but this time, the roof was lifted and jacked away by the wind. “Moon goddess!” She covered her face with her palms, gasping for breath. When she let it open, everywhere was dark.

Her belly rumbled. She felt her palms wet.

As a wolfless female, there was no way she could see in the dark. She stood there, her palms clamped to her clothes as she looked around in the dark.

The loud growl of a mighty lycan echoed. Her lips dropped open.

“The cursed lycan king!” she snorted and shut her eyes again.
