Chapter 2 Confess to the Lord

Roy's eyes widened in shock as he took several steps back, staring in disbelief at the usually gentle and devout Elsie, who had just uttered such blasphemous words.

But with their secret exposed and Elsie's family completely ruined, he needed to play it cool and find a chance to silence her later.

"Alright, Elsie, I'll tell the Lord."

Elsie pulled a handgun from her dress and aimed it at Roy.

"Then go ahead and tell the Lord, and confess your sins while you're at it..."

A gunshot rang out, and a bloody hole appeared in Roy's forehead. His eyes remained wide open, unable to believe that the usually weak and timid Elsie had suddenly become this way.

His pupils lost their light, reflecting Elsie's figure.

She slowly undressed, revealing her stunningly beautiful body. She sniffed her skin lightly, as if still catching a whiff of Daniel's scent, and was lost in thought for a moment.

She took Roy's black coat, wrapped it around herself, and quietly left the church.

It was 4 AM.

Nearby, the church was engulfed in flames, as if Hephaestus himself had descended to burn away the world's sins.

The surroundings were silent, and a shadowy figure gradually disappeared into the moonlit night.

Three years later.

In a house in Emerald City.

A woman wearing sunglasses was sunbathing in the yard, lazily lying on a lounge chair with a blanket draped over her, exuding an effortless femininity.

In the three years since, the youthful innocence had faded from Elsie. To be precise, it had vanished the night she parted ways with her former "Lord."

Who would have thought that this woman was only twenty-three years old?

"This isn't the beach in Silverlight City, wake up!"

Kenna Moore touched her forehead.

Kenna was her aunt, though she was only two years older than Elsie.

As they spoke, two small children, a boy and a girl, wobbled towards Elsie, adorably calling out, "Mommy, milk..."

They were Elsie's two children.

After that night with Daniel, she soon found herself pregnant.

God had taken away her only family, but now had blessed her with two children.

She left Emerald City, went to Silverlight City to find Kenna, and returned to the Moore family, where she was welcomed and gave birth to her children.

As for the pair of twins, the boy was named Jasper Moore and the girl named Faye Moore.

"You're so big now and still want mommy's milk, aren't you embarrassed?"

Kenna scolded playfully as she held the two children.

"No, no... want milk."

The children started to cry and wriggled out of Kenna's arms, climbing up Elsie's legs and tugging at her clothes.

"Just let them have it. Breastfeeding until three is best for the kids..."

Elsie took out two bottles from behind her. The children's eyes lit up, and they eagerly grabbed the bottles, drinking the sweet milk.

Elsie watched the scene with a smile, took off her sunglasses, and looked at the clear blue sky, sighing deeply.

"Finally, we're back..."

"You've been saying that for a month now. What's so memorable about this godforsaken place, Emerald City?"

Kenna picked up Jasper and sat beside Elsie, placing Jasper on her lap.

"For the past three years, I've thought about coming back every day, to seek revenge on Veda, to avenge my mother. Day and night, even in my dreams..." Elsie said, lifting the thin blanket to reveal her nearly perfect body in a tight black outfit.

Her alluring curves could drive any man wild, and even more irresistible was the fact that her bust had grown larger after childbirth, without any sign of sagging.

Because she was breastfeeding, she always had a faint scent of milk, which she masked with perfume. This mixed scent, combined with her perfect curves and stunning face, made her even more attractive than a naked woman.

Kenna playfully groped Elsie's chest, sniffing lightly, and laughed.

"With your breasts this big, how many men are you going to drive crazy? Does pregnancy really make them bigger?"

Elsie retaliated by squeezing Kenna's chest.

"It does work. Want me to introduce you to some strong men when I start working? The Silverlight City mafia can't go without some nourishment."

"Oh my God, what mafia? Don't talk nonsense. I've been out of the mafia for ages. I've already decided to rent the storefront next to the yard and open a café, doing honest business."

Kenna puffed out her chest proudly.

"Yeah, right, Kenna, you're a law-abiding citizen who never breaks the rules. By the way, who changed our flight last month, half an hour before boarding, and disappeared from the airport for a few hours? Was it to cut off an arm or a leg?"

Elsie looked at Kenna with disdain.

To her, as long as it wasn't murder or arson, it counted as leaving the mafia. So, had it been a month since she left the mafia?

Was that a long time?

"It was my useless brothers. They couldn't get any information, so they forced me, a woman, to cut off those two arms. It was so simple, and the guy spilled everything."

Kenna clapped her hands, looking at Elsie with a "what's the big deal" expression. "Don't pretend. You didn't even blink when you killed Roy that night."

Thinking back to that night three years ago, Elsie's expression turned serious, and she hesitated to speak.

"Everything at the scene was burned to ashes, leaving no evidence of you being there. The gun is in your possession, so don't worry."

Kenna reassured her.

"Did Grandpa find out anything? Was the fire that night connected to Veda?" Elsie asked gravely.

She couldn't think of anyone else who would want to silence them.

When Kai married Veda, Mia strongly opposed it, and that was when the two families became enemies.

Later, Veda's daughter, Jada Thomas, was neither as beautiful nor as talented as Elsie, which might have driven Veda and Jada to lose their minds out of jealousy.

Kenna shook her head. "It doesn't seem like it. Veda and Kai have a good relationship, but she comes from an ordinary family and doesn't have that kind of power."

"Besides, that night, Kai was reportedly furious and interrogated Veda, but got nothing. It probably wasn't related."

Elsie's eyes turned cold, and she sneered. "He interrogated Veda because he was worried people would mock him for not being able to control his own woman. It was also to give our fallen Moore family an explanation."

She stood up, lifting her head slightly.

"No matter. Now that I'm back, the revenge has just begun."

Kenna squinted her eyes and chuckled dryly. "Although the Moore family isn't as powerful as before, my sister Mia's death at the Thomas Villa isn't something that can be settled with a few words."
