Beast Kind

The World Reclaimed - Beasts of the New Earth

"The cities have crumbled. The towers rot. Only the beasts endure."

-From the First Scroll of the Twin Veil

THE FALL OF THE OLD WORLD

Over a thousand years ago, humans reached their peak....and then plummeted.

It began with ambition. With fear. With the desperate need to control nature and war.

They created Project Chimera, a gene splicing super virus meant to cure disease and build "perfect warriors."

Instead, it tore humanity apart.

The virus mutated. Became airborne. Turned blood to ash. Bones to beast.

Civilization collapsed in under a year.

Skyscrapers crumbled. Cities were swallowed by vines, ash, and silence. Concrete became moss. Roads became root-ridden rivers. Tech failed. Electricity died. Satellites fell from the sky.

And in the wake of extinction, beastkind rose.

THE PLANET NOW- Verdance

The world is now called Verdance, named after the divine overgrowth that swallowed the earth and made it holy again.

The planet is untamed, overgrown, and dangerously alive.

Giant trees pierce the clouds

Ancient crumbled buildings are buried beneath moss, flowers, bones, and dirt

Beasts, not machines, rule the land

The only remnants of the human world are rusted bones and forgotten ruins

There are no major cities. Only scattered villages, dens, and sacred territories, claimed and protected by the dominant beast shifter species.

Each region belongs to a different Shifter Kin.

THE BEAST SHIFTER SPECIES

The Children of the Twin Veil

Beastkind are not one race. They are many.

Divinely altered, blood bound to their own ancestral animal, able to shift between humanoid and beast form.

Each Kin controls a different region of Verdance.

Villages are often semi nomadic, moving with the seasons or after Mooncall surges

Trade is sacred, pelts, meat, bones, and mating rights exchanged under neutral trees

Most territories have:

Alpha Council - male leaders elected through strength or restraint

Bond Matrons - high ranking females who monitor the registration and pairing of bonds

Veil Priests/Priestesses - act as record keepers, spiritual guides, and enforcers of the gods' will

FINAL LAW

"The land is not owned. It is guarded.

The gods are not absent. They are watching.

And the beasts do not bow to the past.

They rise into the wild future."
