Falling from Heaven - Part 4

Inside the great hall....

There he is, my so-called best friend and my betrayer, Michael, he won't even look at me. Luke and I had to fight through a group of 5 angels to get inside. It was the same group of male angels from the border post. All except the rooky. Where is he? Why won't he testify for me? "Good luck Celine, I am right here next to you if you need me. Ok?", good grieve, Luke just startled me right out of my thoughts. "Thank you, Luke, you feel more like a friend to me then what Michael does right now," and I mean that, he does. I just wish he would stop looking at me with that look of 'you don't know this now, but it will be ok and someday you will understand' look in his eyes. It makes me miss Michael so much and it hurts deep in my heart. He broke into a million pieces. I need to concentrate on what is going on, otherwise I am going to break down and I never break down.

"Celine, you have been brought before the council for a fair trial as per the charges of treason brought against you by Arc Angel, Michael. How do you plead?", Wow Gabriel sounds so formal, and cold. But he did warm me that he had to chair the trial in order to give me a fair

one. "I plead not guilty," I sound confident, but I don't confident. Well here goes....

"Michael, please present you case. Celine, you will have a chance to challenge any accusations and evidence being brought against you after Michael has presented his case," well, Michael won't even look at me, so guess I just nod and let him begin. "I am charging Celine with treason due to leaving her post and following instructions during a time where Heaven is under heavy attack. She was called upon on her off day to help out and patrol the northern borders to ensure none of the intruders break through. Celine was not at her post when I arrived at the northern borders. Intruders had broken through, and we were under heavy attack. We lost three of our best warriors in the attack. After we secured the borders again, I started enquiring about the whereabouts of Celine. I was advised that she was seen by the western borders, walking about with a rooky. After questioning the rooky, it became evident that Celine deliberately disobeyed my instructions, due to being called in on her off day. She had asked the rooky to walk with her long the western borders and to cover for saying that I had told her to patrol those borders instead of the northern borders." He lied with his eyes wide open, though something in his voice makes it sound like he wants to vomit. No-one else might hear it, but I do. What is going on here.

"Is the rooky present to testify to these allegations?" I don't see him, and if I do, I will rip him a new one. How

can he just lie like that about me!! "No, he is not. He asked if he could rather give a written statement instead, out of fear for Celine. He has heard about her warrior skills, and he knows what her rank is. He feels that should she attack him for telling me the truth, he will not be able to make it out alive." WHAT THE …. WHAT UTTER NONSENCE.!!!!! "Keep your cool Celine, you lose your cool now, they will banish you to hell." You again... But you are right, I need to stay calm, Gabriel can't help me if I lose my cool. "Celine, do you have any questions?" Ok, time to prove my innocents. "Yes, I do, thank you. Michael, on the day in question, you came to my house to ask me to patrol the western borders. Why did you not send one of your subordinates to pass on these instructions to me? Why did you send me to the western borders, when you knew the northern borders were under attack? Why are you doing this me?" Ok, now I am getting emotional, and I need to keep a clear head.

"I came to your house myself, as the subordinate that I sent there earlier said that you did not want to open up your door. When I arrived there, you were still fast asleep. Yes, I know it was your day off, but the point is that you refused to get out of bed for a lower ranked warrior, but not when I knocked. I specifically told you to go to the northern borders and assist where there were intruders that bridged the borders. You agreed to help out and advised that I do not need to worry about anything, that you will meet me there." He can't even look at me when he lies, he knows he is lying. " And I am not doing anything to you, except bring you to justice for

the treason that you have committed." Ok, now he is going too far. "Celine, do you have any other questions," Gabriel looks almost sick, what is going on here? "No, Gabriel, I do not." I hope the sadness in my voice cuts Michael's heart wide open.

"Would you like to state your case?" really Gabriel, like anything I say can help me now. "No, thank you Gabriel, but I fear anything I say, will just do more damage than good." Maybe my tears will prove to Michael how broken I am right now, and all thanks to him. "Very well, we will take a 30 minute reses, after which I will pass my judgement. Luke, please Celine inside the great hall, I do want a repeat of the attack on her like earlier." Thanks Gabriel, because I don't think that I can walk right now anyway. "Yes Gabriel." O, he really sounds so formal when he speaks to Gabriel. maybe because he is new here.
