Falling from Heaven - Part 3
I hardly had any sleep last night since I was arrested for treason and put under house arrest. My home doesn't feel like home to me anymore. It feels cold and empty. Maybe I should try and get some sleep in, before they come to fetch me for my trial, though I don't even know what time it is anyway.
"Celine, are you awake? It's me, Gabriel. Can I come in?" O man, already? Geez Louise, I just want to get at least one hour's sleep in. "Yeah, come on in Gabriel, I am awake!!" Though I wish I was not here. "Hey, how are you holding up?" Wow, he looks like he actually really cares, he has never really taken time to get to know me, but yet he still looks worries and sounds like he really does care. "I am as ok as can be, considering I am being set up for treason, which I did not commit. I just don't know why Michael would do this to me. What did do to him?" O great, now I'm crying like a schoolgirl who found out her biggest crush doesn't like her. Urgh, this is so not my day today.
"Hey, it's ok, please don't cry. I am sure he has a good reason for doing this. Besides, I could pull some strings, so you can get a fair trial. But I won't be able to represent you though. The deal is that you get a fair trial if I agreed to be judge and jury." Why are his eyes sparkling? Should I be worried? What is going on? O man, my head really hurts. This is just too much to take in, now I have lost everyone who could have helped me out of this mess.
"Wow, that is a lot to take in. But thank you for letting me know in person. Guess it's better than being stabbed in the back." I really need to get myself some tissues, wiping my nose with my sleeve is so not looking good right now. But who cares, I am one judgement away from losing everything I know, maybe even my life.
" Are you ready kiddo? I need to go, but I have arranged for one my best warrior to take you to the hall and ensure that nothing happens to you on the way. He is a good guy, just bit stiff and well new. So, he follows instructions to the T." I am not sure if I should thank him or laugh at him. Was that some kind of low blow towards me? I hate this. "Why don't we play nice for now, huh?" "Wait who said that?" I am going crazy now too. "Umm, thank you Gabriel, that is very kind of you." Aaannnddd fake smile through the tears...nailed it. Good, he's leaving, now I can figure out who spoke to me? Clearly Gabriel didn't hear a word, so I hope I am not going crazy.
"Ok, who said that? Who is there? Come out or face the consequences." Good grieve, I really do sound crazy. "You're not crazy, you really heard me, but you just can't see me yet. But you will soon. For now, let’s call me your conscience, ok?" Wow, ok, I think I have officially lost it. WHAT THE … WHAT OR WHO WAS THAT?! " Will you
relax, like I said, you are not crazy, you will get to know me soon, for now, just act normal because you are normal. Well as normal as a hybrid like you can be." Huh? "I am a what?" Right, so now I am calling myself names.
"Ma'am, I don't mean to intrude, but it is time to go. Best we leave now while no one suspects us to be on the way. Less chance of anyone trying anything stupid. With you and me both, they might not survive." O...k... friendly for a stiff new guy. But hey, rather friendly then judging. "Thank you, and you can call me Celine. Though I am not sure I will be worth the fight." A small smile will hopefully make him turn around and walk outside. I hate the way he is looking at me. Sympathy was never something I have asked for from anyone. "Well then, let's get going. I will be right outside the door." And with that I am alone one last time. Time to say goodbye to everything I know.
A few minutes later...…
We're here, and so is just about every single angel in Heaven. Father, what I did do wrong? Please grant me this one wish to know what it is that brought this down upon me? I know He won't answer me right away, but maybe soon I will get His reply. "Ok, well here we are. I will stay with you right by your side the entire time Celine. No-one will come anywhere near you. I promise. Good luck with the trial." He actually looks like he means it. I think a hug will do to say thanks. "Thank you, you didn't have to do this you know. So really, thank you. I am not sure that I would have made it through this without anyone standing by me, even if it just to hold off the others." A hug actually feels really nice right now, and he
is actually hugging me back. Think I just made a new friend. "Hey, what's your name?" O man, I just blurted that out... Idiot.... "My name is Luke; I use to be Luke Moonstar. But that was in another lifetime." Moonstar, wow, what cool second name. "Pleased to meet you, Luke Moonstar." This time I give a real-all-teeth-showing- smile.
