Ren's heart pounded loudly as Axton's predatory footsteps sounded behind his chained figure. Those silver eyes locked on his dangling body as his hands strained in the chains that held him up above.
Warm, slow breaths caressed the back of Ren's neck... Axton was right behind him.
Ren's heart thumped, and cold sweat broke out on his skin. This was where he died.
"I won't kill you, Ren..."
Axton's husky voice whispered, causing Ren to stiffen. He could feel Axton's breath fanning across his skin, causing him to shiver, strangely, not out of fear, but desire.
"Be my serum tonight."
A deadly virus has ravaged the world, leaving humanity irrevocably changed. Some have become mutated "Beast-bounds," while others cling to their sanity with a fragile serum.
