Return Of A One Night Stand
Emma
His hands trailed my waistline, digging into my waist while he rode in and out of me, fast and hard. My head spun, and the only thing I could see was his face, eyes that stared into mine, and that would forever be on my mind. He stared at me with hunger and yet a gentleness beneath it, just like he fucked me with hunger, yet I could sense he was trying to hold me back.
I have only slept with Charles, but I did with him, I took his offer, and he did make me forget about Charles, and unlike Charles, he begged me to keep on moaning for him. Initially, I was insecure, but he made me feel like a princess, just like he called me, he made me feel like he had craved for me for years. But then, after all that, he left before I awakened, leaving me with the maid to guide me out. And only when I was out did I realize I had a one-night stand with a stranger.
I let out a sigh, oblivious to my surroundings.
“Is there anything you would want to share with us, Miss Taylor?” The familiar voice hit a core in me and pulled me back to reality.
Everyone in the meeting room was staring at me with concern, aside from the team leader, who had a mischievous smile on his face. The bastard Charles.
“No, sir,” I said plainly.
“Well, you sighed, is it that you are exhausted, are you worn out by your boyfriend or the meeting, do you have something you want to share with us?”
It’s clear what Charles was trying to do. Since I came to work, he had been trying to bring out words from me, trying to see how broken I am, and curious about the man who had saved me from his hands yesterday.
I clenched my fist and tightened my jaw; whatever he was trying to do, he was succeeding. He had begun to get on my nerves. I was still hurt despite my clouded thoughts about the man from last night, I got to admit he did make me hurt less, I cared little about the fact he cheated on me, and I didn’t care anymore about his level of love for me, I was only hurt because I gave myself to an asshole like him.
If he weren’t my team leader, I would have stood up and exited the meeting room.
I understand why there was a rule prohibiting anyone from dating. It was because of people like him. Charles knew nothing about differentiating work from personal life.
In response to his taunting words, I shook my head, hoping that would be the end of it.
“You don’t have to be shy, we are not just the budget team, we are also family, am I right?” He roamed his eyes around, and of course, everyone nodded; they couldn’t refuse their team leader.
I threw my gaze away from him in frustration, my chest tightened in annoyance as I wished someone would come bursting in and halt this meeting. We were done with the meeting, but Charles had decided to prolong it by trying to push me to the wall.
“You can take the floor if you want. I can also give you a mic,” He continued. However, just as I wished, the door did swing open.
“Isn’t this a meeting room? How can a colleague be pushing another to talk about their personal life?” The familiar voice echoed through the meeting room, and every head turned to the entrance while I was still. My heart is beating hard in my chest. It can’t be him, right? Anyone could have that deep, spine-chilling voice; it couldn’t be the same stranger I had sex with last night.
“You again?” Charles jumped to his feet.
“Uhn Young- I mean Mr. Liam, this is the budget team you would be working with, and that is Charles Jonathan, your team leader. You should be nice to him.” The last few words from Mr. Don sounded like a polite warning, but I wasn’t sure of that. The name continued to ring in my head. Liam, Liam, Liam. Was his name Liam? I don’t recall. He didn’t even tell me his name.
“He’s in our team,” Charles chuckled. His expression a living proof that Liam is certainly the man I slept with yesterday.
“Yes, he would introduce himself now, Mr. Lia.m”
There was a good second of silence before he spoke.
“Good day, everyone. I am Liam, and I hope we all get along well.” At his brief introduction, I turned to him and my heart skipped a beat. He had been staring at me all along. Goodness, this isn’t good.
“Liam? Just Liam, what about your last name?” Charles asked rudely, but Liam did not once shift his gaze away; it was as if we were both lost in each other’s gaze, forgetting everyone around.
“Uhm, Mr. Liam will be a special trainee. Miss. Taylor, could you please show him around?” Mr. Don’s demand caused me to shift my gaze away from Liam. I nodded, not that I could refuse the demand from the CEO’s personal assistant.
Good job, Emma. You have succeeded in sleeping with two colleagues at this point. If anything leaks about Liam or Charles, I won’t just be fired; I might be banned from working in the whole of Delta City.
I gestured at the door, showing Liam the way out while I trailed behind him. I couldn’t compose myself, I was too nervous, and my voice gave away my situation as it became uneven while I explained everything to him. While Liam was quiet throughout the tour, until we got to the break room, and I heard the door lock behind me.
He locked the door, and now he has the edge of his lip stretched into a smirk.
“You’re going to act like we didn’t have an unforgettable moment last night?” He began, while he approached me with a seductive look on his face. No. Not here.
“You would have to forget about that, Mr. Liam. In the company, no one is allowed to date.” Yeah, right, as if I didn’t break that law with Charles.
“Oh really,”
I hit the counter while he stood firm before me. Again, I was trapped between two immovable walls, one that could not move and the other that was not willing to move.
He trailed his hands along the side of my face, and my heart raced, his touch sending an electrical sensation throughout my body, while fragmented images of last night ran through my head.
“We can’t be seen this way, Mr. Liam,” I stuttered, my chest heaving as he leaned in. Good gracious, is he trying to kiss me right now?
