Reina Hamilton, heiress to Hamilton Corporation, has had enough of being controlled by her family. She quits formal school and takes up private business schooling on condition, only to learn that her tutor, Jake Acosta Margaux, is the guy with whom she had a one-night stand. As their complicated affair develops, Reina finds out that Jake is also the guy that her parents secretly arranged for her to marry. Betrayed, she pulls away although she has feelings for him. But Jake is not willing to let her go.
As they become betrothed, their love is put to the test by family obligations, business competitiveness, and emotional wounds. When Reina makes the decision to leave and study overseas, their romance is put on hold.
