It Is The Bond.

Nyxion

"Babe, we have to go see the pups today. Don't you think it'll look good for me as your next Luna?" Aerila purred, rubbing faint lines down my torso as she sat on my lap.

I glanced at her softly, ignoring Varek and Aeron's annoyed stares at the table. My hands brushed through her hair. "Mm. When do you want to go?"

"This afternoon. Or we can go now. You're finally not busy for once," She said excitedly, bouncing herself on my lap. Naturally, I'd get hard.

"Sure. But I have something to do in a few minutes," I said, my mind drifting to the not-so-normal maid taking a shower in my brother's room.

"Alpha Nyxion, I come with a letter," Draven, our beta, said from the door. His eyes flickered to Aerila for a moment, before moving back to me. I gave him a small nod.

"It is from Talon," he said quietly, as if the name would trigger me to hit him.

It did, I just held myself back. I took the letter from him and opened the seal. In it was the letter for the declaration of war I had gone to deliver last week, and the temporary treaty we signed when we bought Naeris. I remembered her words as we took her away.

Talon truly was a monster.

I skimmed over the contents quickly and gave Draven the letter to store in our archives. He left quickly, skipping like a scared pup. It always made me chuckle.

Suddenly, another scent filled the room. A scent I knew too well. Naeris poked her head through the door, glancing at all four of us. She stared at Aerila the longest.

"And who are you?" Aerila snapped.

Naeris flinched but quietly walked into the room. She didn't answer, just kept her head bowed. The maid's uniform clung to her curves just right, and I didn't like the images that were forming in my head. Thank the goddess Aerila was sitting on my lap.

"Naeris, center of the room," I ordered. Aerila glanced at me. "Who is she, babe?"

"Our new maid."

Naeris walked to the middle of the room, still keeping her head bowed. "Yes, Alpha," She whispered breathily, and I swallowed. Varek and Aeron seemed flustered at her oblivious, sultry voice, too, but kept their cool.

Was she doing this on purpose?

"You will oversee the cleaning of the east and west wings of the palace. Specifically, our chambers, the council hall, this meeting hall, and Aerila's room," I said, my voice echoing across the hall.

Varek shot me a look, but I ignored. I didn't want to keep her so close to us, but I figured if we were harsher to her and truly saw her as what she was, it would be easier to reject her.

Besides, I already had Aerila.

Who was now slowly grinding against my hard cock with her ass, pretending not to know the effect she was having on me. I could see the faint smirk forming on her face.

"Yes, Alpha," was all Naeris muttered.

"Also, you will handle all our laundry, and perform services upon request. Understood?" I added.

"Yes, Alpha,"

I couldn't see her face. There was something about her tone that made my chest ache, but there was no time for that now.

"Dismissed."

She scurried off, and my eyes lingered on the sway of her hips as she left the hall. I just hoped I wasn't making a mistake.

"Well, I have to go visit my friends. We have a sparring match later on in the fields," Aeron said, getting up from his chair.

"Do whatever you want," Varek growled, pushing back his seat and marching out of the hall. I exchanged glances with Aeron, and we both thought the same thing.

Something was up with him.

But before I could utter anything else, Aerila swung her other leg over my thighs and straddled me. "Babe," She whispered, and my attention returned to her.

"What?" I said, my voice tight with restraint.

"I want you. You're already so hard for me," she giggled.

But I wasn't. I was hard for Naeris. But who cared? Aeron rolled his eyes and left us alone.

I grabbed her and lifted her up, planting kisses on her lips before deepening it as we walked towards my room. I could feel her wetness through her skirt, as she never wore panties when she was with me. Her giggles filled the halls as I planted kisses on her neck all the way down to her cleavage.

"Nyxion..." She moaned, her brown eyes filled with so much desire.

"You want this?" I growled, my patience running thin. I pinned her against the wall instead, my hands slipping under her skirt.

"Yes..."

But I caught wind of another scent. Unmistakably Naeris. My head whipped sideways, and there she stood at the other end of the hall, frozen, watching us with emotionless eyes. I don't know why, but sudden guilt flooded my veins. Naeris quietly walked away, her steps not betraying even the slightest of emotions.

"Why did you stop?" Aerila grumbled, pushing my hand further up her skirt.

"I...I just remembered I need to meet with Draven to finalize the war deal with Talon's pack," I said gruffly.

That was a huge bloody lie.

"Humph. You're always busy nowadays. You never have time for me," She huffed, guiding herself down from my waist.

"It's not like that babe. I'm an Alpha. Things like this are expected."

She regarded me for a while, before leaning forward and kissing my cheek. "Fine, I'm sorry for being so insensitive. We can go see the pups later though, right?"

I smiled. "Of course."

She left, walking gracefully as she disappeared down the hallway. I leaned against the wall as Naeris's expression flashed in my head.

I was supposed to be her mate. But I would never bring myself to accept that, so why did I feel like running to her?

"It's simple. It's the bond,"

I nearly flinched. Aeron stood beside me, dressed up in practice battle gear. I glared at him. "One of these days, I'll snap your neck."
