CHAPTER 4

I watched Claire's expression darken as she didn't get the excitement she expected from me.

“Please don't tell me you're not coming,” she took the words out of my mouth.

“But Claire, you know how I feel about things like this. I'll be fine, I just need two more months and I'll come join you. I'll be coming every weekend I can so you know I'm fine, okay?”

“Wait, what are you girls talking about? Why won't she come along, we already got everything ready,” her mom interjected, surprise and confusion riddling her face.

Claire sighed before replying.

“Celeste hates accepting favours she can't repay. Blame her parents, I still don't understand what their deal was.”

“It's not anybody's fault but mine for being born but I promise I'm not dying anytime soon okay?” I assured, hoping she won't make me explain further.

I was uncomfortable with the idea of needing anyone for anything, it'll ruin years of progress on my journey and since I knew Rowan would protect me, I didn't see the need to take from them even though they had more than enough to share.

If my own parents could guilt trip me for every dollar they'd ever spent on me, I didn't have any right to the coin of someone else.

Besides, I loved Claire with my life and I would be broken if helping me like this ruined that relationship.

I don't want to owe anyone anything I couldn't pay back, as she'd said.

It was a rule I'd made for myself after an incident in my first year in college.

“Fine, if you insist,” her Father sighed, “you have to protect yourself.”

“Yes Mr. Richardson, I'm in a self defence class already. I started in college and just never stopped.”

“That's not what I'm talking about,” he replied, his voice going lower. “I have a gun and you don't have to use it but just in case, okay?”

I shook my head.

“Things are already weird here and people are spooky. If my house gets searched and it's found, I'll be accused of murder. I'll rather just defend myself. Don't worry, I've got this, my parents are still here and they're not even worried so it's not like anyone's gonna miss me anyway,” I finished with a tense chuckle.

“Ouch!” I exclaimed as Claire pulled my hair.

“Don't spill that crap again!”

“Claire!” Her father warned.

“I'm twenty two dad, I'm allowed to curse,” she muttered to which the man shook his blonde hair. “I'm going to keep calling you woman, anytime you don't pick up, I'm taking the next ride back to ensure you haven't been hacked into bits because of your damn stubborness.”

“Yes love, I'll always pick your call okay? Now can I hug you or you'll tear me to bits with those eyes?”

She rolled said eyes before running into my arms and we stayed that way for a while.

“I'll miss you so much,” she croaked in my neck.

“I'll miss you too and I'll come around so often you won't even notice my absence,” I promised with intention.

She nodded as she detached from me, cleaning her teary eyes.

I followed them to the car and hugged all of them before they got into their car.

“Take care of yourself kiddo,” her father said as he pressed on the gas.

“Bye,” I waved at them.

When I got back into my room, I felt an intense amount of sadness and I couldn't figure out a way out of it.

Sadness wasn't a foreign feeling for me, I had a particularly dark fashion sense as a result of it.

Even my work clothes, I found a way to make them gothy so I could dress as I felt.

But I realized as I paced around my apartment, arranging it, that Rowan had made those intense feelings disappear.

The thought of him after all these while made me pause.

He had become a part of my life in a strange way, we didn't talk or anything so personal except the sex but over the three months I'd come to know him, he'd made my life incredibly easier, even my acne cleared up.

I was putting away my clothes when I felt his presence in my house.

It wasn't like he was touching me or anything but the second he was around me, I always knew, the hairs at the nape of my neck always jumped up in his presence and I always smelt sulfur.

“They finally left,” I heard him sigh, “I was beginning to think it was a permanent situation. I hate it when you don't listen to me, it makes me do things you won't like.”

“Things I don't like? What did you do?”

“Shh,” he whispered and appeared behind me as I stood in front of my closet. “I've missed you so much, you are different and I don't think I can ever move on from you.”

That didn't excite me as much as I thought it would. I enjoyed my tryst with him but I still held out hope for a human, normal connection

The idea of it being him for the rest of my life wasn't appealing.

But as he pulled down my panties and spread my ass, it didn't seem like such a bad idea anymore.

“I've missed the scent of your throbbing pussy,” he growled, inhaling it deeply right before swallowing my entire vulva in his mouth.

“Fuck,” I muttered, rolling my eyes in pleasure as he licked my pussy.

He inserted his finger, my virginity long gone with the way his finger slid in and out of me.

And then for the first time, he inserted a second one. I felt impossibly full, yet I couldn't stop moaning, my body shivering from the delicious feeling coursing through my body.

“Cum on my tongue kitten, I need it so badly,” he growled, increasing his tongue work.

I thought I was at my limit but he put in a third finger and I screamed, his quick thrusts filling me with pleasure.

Then I came hard, vibrating from it all.

I was expecting him to leave me alone, or to keep licking my pussy as usual but no, he stood up and went behind me.

“What are you

doing?” I asked, my voice shaky.

“It's time,” he whispered, lining his cock at my center.
