Crashed party

Aria's POV

Everyone stood up for me, yes. But there was no magic. They whispered among themselves as I walked past, given me a weird look.

All I feel at that moment was a sense of duty and anger. I was angry that I was walking down the isle alone, I was angry that I agreed to do this, I was angry that I had attraction towards the groom whatsoever.

The last part of the saying, seemed to be true as I arrived at the alter.

The groom kept on staring at me, his filled with amusement.

"I didn't expect my bride to be so beautiful..." He muttered to me after the hall had quieten.

A side of my lips hooked up in a smile. "Thank you."

I wanted to say that he didn't look bad himself...which he didn't though he was white, but I just couldn't.

I couldn't dare to spark any hope between us. This was strictly business, and there was no other way I would have preferred it.

We both turned towards the priest. I held my breath, waiting to say my vows and get it over with.

It took a few minutes, but eventually the time came. The priest asked us to face each other. We did.  "Do you Noel take Aria Bellani to be..." Before the priest could finish his words, a loud sound was heard

"Oh no, that's... That's the Morretti logo! " On of the guest yelled and everyone's attention was brought to the sleek car that parked directly in front of the walkway.

I blinked in surprise.

Morretti?

That name...

It sounded familiar.

I didn't have to guess the owner of the name for too long.

The driver came down and rushed to open the back door.

Slowly the man came out, dressed in a three piece suit and a blazer with a glasses covering his eyes.

I blinked again.

But this time it wasn't in shock.

It was in amusement.

This...

He was hot!!!

The man advanced towards the alter, I couldn't take my eyes off him, neither did he me, but even with the shades I could still feel the intensity of his glare and I shivered.

Everyone grew quiet for the second time. The first was out of respect for the bride...me, now... It was out of fear.

I could feel the tension in the air and I shouldered. Gulping down the contents in my throat.

I returned my gaze towards the groom.

He also had a hostile look, directed straight at the intruder. "What are you doing here?!" He yelled, his veins popping out his head. "This isn't your territory."

The intruder was finally close enough, so he stopped.

"Are you sure about that?" The intruder said with a smirk, then he took his hands out of his pockets and pointed at someone.

At... Me?

"She belongs to me." He uttered and my eyes widened in shock.

Confused I turned around to check if there was anyone behind me. But there wasn't.

My groom got even angrier. I opened my mouth to speak but he beat me to it. "What? How dare you try to claim my wife?!"

Okay...

His wife?

That was a bit too much.

But yeah.

How dare he?

"I'm not trying to do anything Jackson." The intruder spoke again in his chilling voice. Then he turned towards me

I froze under his gaze. I couldn't see his eyes, but I could tell they were filled with hatred.

"She is mine."

Okay...

I tried to stay silent but...

"What the hell?" I muttered, loud enough for everyone present to hear. "What is this? Who the fuck are you? You can't just crash a wedding and claim the bride, it's not done."

"I don't care whatever business you have with my soon to be husband..." I laid a bit more emphasis on those four words. I just wanted to remind the groom that we weren't married yet.

"... it's none of my concern. I refuse to allow myself to be used as a pawn in your games!"

This was a game.

I was sure of it.

My father, he ths kings of this sort of games.

I wasn't ready to be apart of it before, why would I change now?

Glaring at the intruder, I stepped down from the alter. Then I turned my gaze towards the groom. "If you can't keep your business in order, why even bother to marry?" I asked coldly.

"Until this is settled, don't come to look for me."

As soon as I said that, I packed my long gown and turned to leave.

I could hear the guests murmurs as I left, but no one bothered to voice out their complaints. As if all of them were all afraid of him.

"Ha! Who they should be afraid of was my father!" I scoffed, turning a corner.

My father was definitely not going to let that bastard go after crashing the wedding. Deep down I was grateful to him.

Just few more minutes and I would have been married, but then he arrived and stopped it.

I walked on the road, muttering words to myself when suddenly a car passed by me and then stopped.

I paused, cocking my head to the side as I stared at the car.

Someone came out of it.

It was the intruder!

A gasp left my throat and I took a step back.

'This is not good.' something told me. A bad feeling began spreading in my heart.

The man stepped closer towards me and then pulled off his glasses. "I'm sorry Ms Bellani but my business is not with your groom, it's with you."

"With me?" I shuddered in fright.

He didn't bother to answer, just made a signal with his hand to to other car which stopped beside his.

That was when I began to realize that this was deeper than I had thought. Panic creeped into my heart.

I turned to run but before I could move a strong hand was wrapped around my waist, and a white cloth was stuffed in my face, forcing my to breathe it in.

It was too sudden, I inhaled i

t.

My body began growing weak almost immediately, my vision blurry.

"Get her in..." I heard one of the men say, then it all became blank.
