The Nightmare
Ralph had his first kill of the night. It was a deer that seemed to look like it was lost. He got lucky to find something big enough to quench his thirst for blood. This will do until he is able to get more blood bags. Cassie informed him that there will be a delivery tomorrow morning. It will be the new maid's assignment to claim it by then. He can't be too hungry for blood when she brings it over to his room. What if he ends up attacking her? All the years he waited will be wasted if she ends up being scared of him. He can't risk losing her all over again.
Having the deer's blood seems to be fine for her tonight. Ralph decided to stick around for a while. He likes the serenity of the night in the forest. Everything seems to be quiet all over him. The animals knew that there's a predator around. They all have to stay still and avoid making any noises if they want to live. He always makes sure to respect the lives around him. Even if he was surrounded by animals, he wouldn't go on a killing spree. There's no need to do that because he had enough. One deer's life is valuable and he never takes too much.
“Rafael!” a woman's voice lingered in his mind.
He knows that it's not real but he keeps on hearing Sofia's voice whenever he's out here. Rafael was his name from the past. He likes hearing it from Sofia's red lips. She always wore a pink dress with ruffles on the hem. It makes her look more beautiful than she already is. Whenever she sees him, she will call out his name and smile as if he’s the only person that matters. He can still remember how his heart skips a beat on those moments. That's when he was still human and had feelings.
Now that he's already a vampire, he's afraid that he might forget how it feels. After all, he's almost 200 years old and memories can fade as time goes by. That's why he always tries to remember the past. He doesn't want to forget about his life as a human. That's when Sofia was still in his life. But now, all he has is himself and that woman who may not even be Sofia. He knows that he will be disappointed if she's not the person she thinks she is. That's why he's afraid to meet her in person.

“Rafael!” she called out to a tall and handsome guy walking towards her.
Arabelle waves at him even if he's already smiling at her. The guy is wearing an outdated suit from the past but still looks gorgeous. She automatically checks out her outfit when she passes a mirror from an old shop. It seems like she's also wearing an old style pink dress with ruffles. She's also carrying an umbrella that looks like the dress. There are a lot of people around her but she can only see that man clearly. The closer they seem to be from each other, the further away they are actually getting.
Without warning, armed guards suddenly grabbed her arms. They seem to be arresting her as they keep on shouting with each other. She can't understand what they are saying. All she knows is that they are dragging her away from Rafael. She tried to resist them but they were too strong for her to fight. The more she tries to get away from them, the further away Rafael seems to be. She can no longer see him and there seems to be a crowd who are looking at her. That's when she realized that she's tied up in a bonfire. She’s about to get burned!
“Oh my God!” Arabelle gasps as she wakes up from that nightmare.
She got up from bed and clenched her chest. Her heart beats so fast. Why did that nightmare seem so real? She knows that only witches are being burned into stake alive. Is she a witch from her past life? Who is that man who she's supposed to meet up with? There are so many questions and her mind is racing. It may be because she's in an unfamiliar place that's why she dreams of something like that. Maybe she's just not used to her bedroom yet. Although the dream is very real as if she's really there. She tries to relax and stop thinking about it.
“Everything is real…” she heard a woman's voice.
Arabelle looked at the corner of her room and saw the female ghost again. It seems that she knew about her dream earlier. She was about to ask the ghost but she disappeared again. It made her wonder how she can dream about somebody she hasn't even met yet. That's when she heard the main door of the castle get shut.
