Chapter Three
Ryker POV
The next day.
The entire hall was brimming with activities, Alpha Draven would be visiting tonight and we servants have just few hours to set things up, for some reasons, his visit was pushed up.
I picked up my buckets and mob on the floor then walked towards the grand hall, my duty is to clean the entire place plus the Alpha's Office upstairs, it's too much for a petite Omega like me but of course, who can I complain to.
I haven't even gone halfway through the hall when I heard rigorous click of heels against the cold tiles, my breath hitched as a cocky female voice rang out in the hall.
"Ryker!!"
Princess Annabelle, the Alpha only daughter, even though she appeared innocent yet so dangerous, she is only eighteen but was as vicious as her forty two year old father.
"my lady!"
"My lady!"
The Omega and servants cleaning the hall all bowed respectfully as he walked past them towards me, my head was held down respectfully.
"My lady." I said finally when she approached me, but i before I could understand what was going on, a large slap landed on my face. I bite down my tongue to avoid screaming in pains, as that is considered disrespectful to the royal family.
"How dare you? How dare your pathetic ass try to seduce my mate?" Her voice was like wildfire, spreading across the entire floor. My knees arched forward and I fell to the floor.
"I don't know what you are talking about My lady." I said lightly, I knew it was no use saying this but keeping quiet only made me look more guilty, the gazes from other servants said it all.
Princess Annabelle mate is just an ordinary pack member with handsome features but for some weird reasons, he is drawn to me, I've seen him around the pack house once or twice but hadn't really spoken to him, though I noticed the way he looked at me hungrily.
"Take him away now, take him out! He needs to be taught a lesson..." Annabelle fumed, minutes later, several guards trouped in the hall, all looking scary.
Without thinking, my feet landed on the floor, I begged and cried for mercy, I couldn't be flogged now, not after the silver chain was used on me, I can't stand it.
"I swear I didn't, please have mercy on me." Due to my weakness at the moment, I couldn't control my scent and it scattered all over the place, Annabelle pursed her lips but stopped the guards and before long, they all worked out after she gave me one last glare.
After they were gone, I fell to the ground gasping, everyone went back to their usual business without bothering to check on me, that was how it has always been, even among my fellow Omega, I was considered an outcast. My expression turned darker and darker as I thought of my plan, it just a matter of hours before I get out of this hell hole.
After cleaning my entire portion I was assigned to, I picked my cleaning tools and climbed the magnificent spiral stairs to the Alpha's office.
I passed by few guards but seeing my tools, they all let me past without questions, some even had to dramatically cover their noses in irritation just to irk me. Other Omega smelled of fruits like peace and flowers but mine was different, I smelt like a sweet wildfire, which is intense cos that is actually what drew Prince Kael to me.
Getting to the office, two huge guards stood by the entrance of the office, my heart thumped wildly against my chest at the thought of what am about to do, if am caught, forget the reason why the Alpha doesn't want to kill me but am sure I'd be burned alive on the spot.
"Halt!" The first guard shouted fiercely, his eyes glared at me with such intensity that it made me wimble.
After about three minutes, he opened the door without saying a word, I walked in slowly and closed the door behind him, after making sure no one is inside, I immediately went to mission.
I opened all drawers and all chests in the huge office but I couldn't find what I was looking for, going behind the Alpha's desk, I sat on the high gold and leather chair and opened the drawers of the table but I still couldn't find what I was searching for.
All this while, my heart kept thumping non stop at my ribs, after searching everywhere and couldn't find anything, I stood in the middle of the room thinking, then I caught sight of it, a tiny button on the eye of the huge golden wolf Statue just beside the entrance, carefully I pressed the button, a small siren noise blasted the room, luckily this room was sound proof so the guards outside couldn't hear.
The walls behind the chair divided into two and a golden door came in full display, a smile crept into my face, finally for four years I finally did it.
I took the keys inside the wolf mouth and opened the door, a long hallway came in full display, this tunnel is long and it leads directly outside the Pack, it was built by the previous Alpha for his family for escape in the case of an intense battle, without thinking I entered the tunnel and began running, before the guards noticed am gone, I'd have been far ahead, by then it would be too late to catch me, adrenaline rushed through me as I ran through the darkness, but I miscalculated just one step.
I don't know how long it had been but I know I've been walking on this tunnel for a long time now and am already breathless and thirsty, due to the situation of my escape, I didn't even come with water or anything.
i couldn't continue living in the Pack house and enduring years of humiliation and being constantly used as a punching bag by others.
Suddenly I heard a loud animalistic growl coming from behind me, everywhere was dark and am sure that was a wolf, my heart almost fell out of my chest, no no...this can't be happening to me, why was the world so unfair to me.
I desperately hoped I had heard wrong but as cruel as the world is, they just wouldn't give me a chance.
Before long, the howl got nearer and soon I felt a hand grabbed me, another knocked me out.
When I woke up, I was back to the Alpha's office, a split pains bore through my entire body and my already weak bone collasped under the intense pains, before I could get a grasp of my surrounding, a large kick landed on my adnomen, my eyes turned red instantly.
Kicks came flying in one after the other by the guards, they were more then five, all jeering and snickering at my predicament.
"What do we do with him?" One of them asked.
"We can't decide his fate, let's take him to the Alpha." Another chimed in.
After beating me almost half to death, they dragged me all the way to the grand hall, still chained up together with parts of my clothes torn and looking all bloody.
"We caught him trying to escape Alpha, what do we do with him?" The fierce looking guard with deep metallic voice asked as he threw me at the Alpha's feet, I was took weak to even raise my head to see the irritated faces of the pack members, they shove me to my knees as the cold floor bit into my skin.
"Execution perhaps?." I heard one of them sneered, cruel, sharp and malicious echoes followed, I tried not to flinch, but I was too weak to even act tough.
Just then, a low majestic growl resounding in the entire room, it was low but powerful ensuring silence in the entire hall and then I heard it.
"Mine."
i instantly looked up froze, that moment I stopped breathing, he was standing there, the visiting Alpha, young, powerful and domineering, his features were like perfect sculptures engraved an angels, his jet black flowing hair majestic.
And his eyes, they shimmered with such intense possiveness as they locked unto me like I was the only person in the room, my heart pounded like thunder as he took some steps towards me.
