Weird engraving

Panic, the anecdotal account of my current state. My head spun faster than my heart raced.

I stared in the distance, unable to focus my gaze as my eyes shook in trepidation.

I felt my face, chest, and stomach burning in anxiety. Fear coursed through my being, leaving me petrified.

Terror-stricken, several questions spiraled endlessly in my mind...

' How the fuck did my life take such a weird turn? What the fuck is happening?! What should I do now?'

I had no idea.

I was left without thoughts!

One minute I was living a normal life; A fleeting waitress in love-- who was to be introduced by her lover to his family in his home town.

The next minute, I'm being held captive by a pack of werewolves and now being threatened to be turned into one myself!

It felt like I was living a nightmare. A horrible nightmare!

I just couldn't believe it!

Yet, it's all real...

Feeling the coldness of the chain shackles loosely wrapped around my ankle, I knew I wasn't dreaming. Neither was I hallucinating.

Everything that had transpired up till this moment was real;

The whole dinner where they had raw meat served...

Their canines growing out of the corners of their lips as they chewed their meals off...

Carl's cold glinting, bloodshot, golden-hued eyes just now!

They were all etched into my memory, recurring over and over again in my mind.

It was all real!

And now, I'm about to become a part of all this madness...?

I was hit by a cold splash of this sudden realization and I shivered incessantly.

' I need to get the fuck out of here!' I hurriedly reached to yank at the shackles. It dawned on me that I needed to find a way out of this mess real fast!

However, no matter how much I pulled, the shackles wouldn't come off.

I realized I needed something to break myself free with. Alarmed, I looked around quickly in search.

Why wait around for danger to approach when I could avoid it?

Once I break free of these shackles, I will make a run for it while I can!

Things have gotten past the point of speculating on whether or not I wouldn't be turned as Michael had threatened.

Proof of that would be the fact that I'm chained to a bed already.

It's only a matter of when!

I only have until the full moon is out, and it doesn't seem like I have so much time.

Looking around frantically, I deduced I was probably in the basement from the sight of the small hopper window, highlighting the dim sliver gleam from behind the clouds that softly guided my sight.

The room was pretty bland and bespeckled with dust and dirt as though it hadn't been used in a long while. There were broken wooden crater-boxes in the corner, a few splinters on the floor.

Other than the door, there didn't seem to be any other means of escape.

There just wasn't anything I could use around to try and break free of the chain shackles besides those splinter shards.

Left with no choice, I hurried off the side of the bed.

I plan to drag myself along with the bed to the corner, grab a splinter shard to try and break free of the chain shackles with it.

Just when I stepped out of bed on my free leg, I felt something crush and splat under my feet, leaving a small wet stickiness smeared.

I jumped, pulling my leg back and peeked to check what it was.

As if reading my mind, the room slowly brightened from the sudden shine of the moon emerging from behind the clouds, guiding my sight to the filth below.

On the floor, I saw clearly a trail of dried brownish-red blood stain mixed with fresh pale yellow fluid.

At the sight of this, I instantly felt a bump in my throat.

" Ugh!" I couldn't help but turn away in revulsion, covering my mouth as I retched convulsively.

' What in the fuck!...'

I was beyond disgusted at the squalor.

' Just where on earth am I?', I wondered.

However, I only have so much propriety to spare at the moment.

If I wish to leave this hellhole, looking past the maggots and bed bugs on the floor would be the least of the things I'd have to do.

Coming to a resolve, I shut my eyes tight and clenched my fist, swallowing the urge to puke. I regained my composure before long, and sought to make an attempt once again.

This time, I'll watch where I step... I peeked down once again with this thought in mind, squeezing my face at the yet disgusting sight. But this time, I didn't back out.

The maggots and bed bugs scattered on the blood-stained floor remained, squirming and crawling about. Curious, I didn't hurry off of the bed as I noticed their trail towards the wall behind me, crawling at dried blood stains.

I frowned at this, feeling a foreboding sense as I moved my gaze to the wall.

Several tiny marks of what seemed like that of small blades chopped at the wall scraped a ghastly dent on it, oozing an eerie feel under the shade of the now luminous moonshine.

Taking a closer look, it seemed like some crazed person had been scratching at the walls with their nails from the dried bloods smeared on them.

However, what baffled me was the weird engraving of what seemed like an occultic symbol sketched on the wall.

It seemed like a large jagged, incomplete, distorted circle with scrappy intersecting lines and several intelligible blood symbols written around and within.

Below it was a distorted word written in blood. It read;

" The Cur-"

I deepened my frown at this, wondering just what this meant.

' Is this some sort of ritual?' I became even scared of what was to come at this thought.

Bloods and symbols, this wasn't something normal in any sense. I just couldn't fathom the supernatural world, but I do know this had something to do with it.

Nonetheless, I definitely do not want to be a part of it.

I turned away, aiming to carry out my previous plan.

Click!

However, just then, I heard the sound of the door being pushed open amidst the eerie silence!

Shocked, I peered my gaze to the window, remembering something as I stared with widened eyes and racing heart at the bright silver shine that showered in.

It's full moon!
