ELENA’S POINT OF VIEW
I slowly opened my eyes, blinking twice as I focused on the ceiling above me. A wave of confusion washed over me as I tried to orient myself, my surroundings feeling foreign and unfamiliar. After a moment of disorientation, it hit me—I was in a completely different place. With a resigned sigh, I reached out my hand to grab my phone, and that’s when I noticed the time displayed on the screen. A gasp escaped my lips as panic surged through me, propelling me upright from the bed.
To my shock, it was already 4:22 PM. I couldn’t believe it; I had been sleeping for over three hours when all I intended was to take a short nap! The realization struck me like a cold wave—how on earth could I have slept so long? Frustration bubbled within me, and without a moment’s hesitation, I bolted out of the room. I had really wanted Hailey to give me tour round the house or even the neighborhood. Damn that headache.
The house was not particularly large, so I knew I wouldn’t get lost; I hurriedly made my way toward the staircase. However, just as I reached the top step, I began to hear voices drifting up from below. They were hushed yet menacing, their tone unmistakably unfriendly, sending a shiver down my spine.
Steeling myself, I cautiously tiptoed down the stairs, my heart racing. When I finally reached the bottom and observed the scene unfolding in front of me, my heart sank, shattering into a million pieces, while an incredible surge of anger welled up inside of me. To my horror, I saw a guy with his foot carelessly resting on my uncle's head, and my uncle was on his knees, pleading desperately for mercy.
Without thinking, the words burst out of me, fueled by a mix of indignation and urgency.
“Take your leg off his head this instant!” I shouted, startling everyone in the room. Their heads snapped toward me, shock etched on their faces as they froze in place, momentarily taken aback by my unexpected appearance and the fierce determination in my voice.
“No, Elena, go back upstairs!” Uncle shouted, his wide eyes fixed intently on me, filled with a mix of urgency and exasperation. I firmly shook my head in defiance and continued my descent down the stairs. Just as I did, the charming guy who had casually draped his legs over Uncle's head erupted into laughter, the sudden burst making me jump slightly.
“And who do we have here?” he exclaimed, taking a few confident steps toward me. I could practically feel his presence radiating around him; it was so intense that it made me a little uneasy.
“Just when I was starting to wonder what would be my collateral,” he remarked with a mischievous grin, his gaze piercing into mine. His dark, intense eyes were nearly intimidating, and I found myself reluctantly breaking our eye contact, uncomfortable with the powerful energy they exuded.
“You’re lucky you didn’t keep staring into my eyes,” he continued, his tone teasing but with an underlying seriousness.
“I swear I would have made sure your eyeballs were plucked right from their sockets!” I couldn't help but scoff at his extravagant words, trying to mask the unease he inspired in me.
“Elena, seriously, please just go back to your room,” Uncle pleaded, desperation creeping into his voice as he continued to look at me, hoping I would comply.
“Go back?” came the playful yet stubborn voice of the guy.
“She isn’t going anywhere. Since you've decided to refuse paying me back, I’m taking her with me.” Uncle gasped, taken aback by the audacity of this newcomer.
“You must be joking, dude! Who do you think you are, trying to take me along with you?” I exclaimed, my indignation rising as I confronted this audacious claim.
“I’m not going anywhere,” I declared firmly, a frown creasing my forehead as I shot a challenging glare in his direction.
“Shut your mouth, Elena, and let me have my say!” uncle snapped back, exasperation evident in his voice.
“Please, no! Just listen—she... she only returned today. She’s just a helpless orphan!” Uncle pleaded, his voice rising in desperation.
“And so am I,” The cold man retorted coldly, his gaze locked onto mine with an intensity that made my heart race.
“Bring her with us,” he commanded, turning to his men with a cocky stride before striding toward the exit.
“No, jefe, please, not her... Have mercy!” Uncle shouted, horror stricken. He made a desperate attempt to chase after him, but one of the thugs quickly struck him on the head with the butt of a gun, sending him crashing to the cold, unforgiving floor. He went down without a sound.
“Uncle!” I screamed in panic, my heart lurching as I lunged forward to reach him, but the brutal henchmen threw themselves in my way, blocking my every move.
“Don’t even think about it… Don’t you dare touch me!” I yelled, my voice filled with fear and rage, but my frantic shouts fell on deaf ears. Before I knew it, I felt a rough cloth being tied over my eyes, plunging me into darkness. Almost immediately, I was hoisted off the ground, unceremoniously tossed over one of the men’s shoulders. All I could do was struggle, helpless against their strength as we moved stealthily towards an uncertain fate.
“Put me down!” I managed to scream through my muffled breaths, but my words seemed to fall on deaf ears. My protests barely registered with them; they showed no signs of letting me go. The next thing I knew, they unceremoniously tossed me into the back seat of a car, and I could feel the panic rising within me. Then, something happened that I couldn't quite comprehend. It was as if a wave of drowsiness washed over me almost instantly, and before I could even attempt to process what was going on, darkness enveloped me. I blacked out completely.
BECCA'S POINT OF VIEW
“Where exactly did you say Jefe went again?” I inquired casually, focusing on the meticulous task of painting my toenails a vibrant shade of pink.
“I honestly don’t have a clue either, Becca. All I saw was him driving off with some of the guys,” Lilo replied, her tone somewhat indifferent. I let out a loud scoff, frustration bubbling to the surface.
“Seriously? You couldn’t have at least tried to ask anyone else? Just find out where they might have gone?” I retorted, a frown creasing my forehead as I rolled my eyes dramatically.
“I told you, Becca! I just saw him leave the empire building! I did ask a few people, trust me, and they didn’t know anything more than I did,” she shot back, exasperation creeping into her voice as she flopped down onto the bed with a huff.
I sighed, pondering my own thoughts for a moment.
"I wonder when Jefe would let me close to him, The day he sex me is going to be my best Day ever...... He wouldn't even let me close to him. The last time I entered his room was to go get his phone...... It's just so frustrating staring at that perfect body and not being able to explore it"I said and heard Lilo groaned loudly.
"You've started again...... I don't know why you're so obsessed with Jefe, I mean you should be scared of him like the rest of us, Have you forgotten what he did to McKenzie when she walked into his room without jefe's permission and tried to seduce him?...... He almost made the boys whip her to death"Lilo said with a huff.
I couldn’t help but scowl at her words.
"Honestly, it serves that w*tch right. How dare she think she could try to seduce my Wyatt?" I responded, my tone dripping with annoyance. I deliberately lowered my voice when I mentioned his name, nearly whispering it. The last incident that revolved around him was still fresh in my memory. It was a chilling day that we’d all like to forget , Jefe got wind of it, and in a fit of rage, he had beheaded the boy right in front of everyone because he said his name. The fear that spread through our group after that was palpable; no one dared to even speak his name lightly anymore.
"Well, Flinn wouldn’t even consider giving me the time of day. He just goes on about how I’m nothing but a girl obsessed with guys, and he told me point-blank to stay away from him or else he’d end my life," Lilo explained, a mix of frustration and resignation evident in her expression. Flinn is boss's right hand man and I can say they fit eachother...... They kind of act the same. ....so cold.
"Honestly, he's just a mirror image of his boss—so icy and emotionally detached," she added with a laugh, and this time, I couldn’t suppress my laughter any longer.
"I doubt they'll ever let us close to them Becca, It's better I just continue collecting my dcks around and just crush on him..... Besides he's right though......I'm obsessed with dcks"she remarked, and I couldn’t help but turn to her with a playful grin.
“By the way, I heard there’s a party happening tonight,” I mentioned, locking my gaze on her with curiosity.
“Absolutely, Becca. The reason behind it is that the boss's sister is returning today, and that’s why he’s decided to throw a party in her honor,” Lilo explained, her expression shifting to one of concern as she noticed my frown.
“Wait, you mean that thin witch is coming back today?” I blurted out, my irritation evident as Lilo nodded in confirmation.
“Oops… I totally forgot that you two hate eachother,” she said, a sheepish smile appearing on her face. I let out a scoff and rolled my eyes in response.
“Yeah, I understand that, but that doesn’t mean I won’t enjoy the party. I know the boss will be there, so I’m planning to look extra fabulous tonight,” I declared, a wide smile spreading across my face.
“Same here! I’ll definitely be in need of some s*xy clothes too … well, let’s just say some extra attention tonight,” Lilo replied, and we both erupted into laughter at the double entendre.
“Alright, I think I’ve had enough of this chit-chat. Let’s head downstairs; I need to check on a few things,” I said after finally finishing up with my nail polish. Lilo stood up, and together we made our way out of the room, excited for the evening ahead.
"I absolutely adore the view from this spot," I remarked, taking in the expansive horizon. The height brings a sense of serenity that wraps around me like a comforting blanket. I took a deep breath, filling my lungs with the crisp air while gazing at the vastness of the sky from the balcony.
"It looks like....... "Lilo was going to say when something caught our attention. We both turned our heads to see our boss’s cars approaching the estate. The boys who were with him swung open the gate, allowing the vehicles to glide in smoothly before they parked in the grand driveway of the mansion.
We couldn’t help but watch in fascination as boss stepped out of the car with a remarkable grace, flanked by the boys. I felt a rush of admiration wash over me, and I couldn’t suppress a smile, even feeling the urge to bite my lip involuntarily. He really seemed to embody perfection, and as those thoughts swirled in my mind, they were abruptly interrupted when Flinn emerged from one of the cars, bringing a girl out in his arms.Together, they began making their way toward the entrance of the house.
My heart sank a little as my good mood shifted, and I turned to Lilo, barely believing what I had just witnessed.
"Wait... Did I really just see that? Did they actually bring a girl into this place?!" I murmured in disbelief. Lilo glanced at me, her eyes wide, and I could tell she was equally surprised. I nodded, raising my eyebrow to emphasize my astonishment.
"Yes, Lilo, that’s exactly what we both just saw," I whispered back, a bit stunned myself.
"That's bizarre. Who could she be?" Lilo's voice was barely a whisper, as if speaking too loudly might shatter the moment. I simply rolled my eyes, sensing a whirlwind of emotions brewing within me.
"Honestly, I have this gut feeling that we won’t have to wait long to find out the truth," I replied quietly, my curiosity piqued more than ever. I turned around and made my way back into my room, my thoughts a flurry of questions about the newcomer and what this could possibly mean.
"Did you catch that?" As we strolled past, I couldn’t help but notice the hushed voices drifting around us.
"Oh my gosh, they actually brought a girl with them!"
"Aren't they breaking the rules?"
"Are you really that clueless? The Boss made the rules himself, so who’s to say he can’t bend them?"
"Honestly, she’s really beautiful, isn’t she?"
"She looked like she was in a trance, almost lifeless."
"No way, I think she’s just napping."
"Did you see how handsome the Boss looked today?"
"He looks absolutely flawless!"
"Do you think she might be his girlfriend?"
"Or possibly his side piece?"
"Enough!" I shouted at them, my voice slicing through the chatter, and they quickly fell silent, scurrying away as if I had unleashed something dangerous. They all knew who I was—one of the top female fighters in the empire—and understood that it was unwise to engage in frivolous banter with me.
"Looks like someone’s feeling a bit touchy," I heard a voice call out, and I turned to find McKenzie glaring at me with that infuriating cold smirk plastered on her face. McKenzie is my sworn rival, and what makes it worse is that she also has her sights set on the Boss. Our clashes are a familiar pattern by now, filled with rivalry and tension.
"And what makes you think this is any of your concern?" I snapped, trying to brush her off as I attempted to walk away. But then she delivered her next line, which halted me in my tracks.
“You look terrified,” she remarked, her eyes narrowing with a deep frown.
“You’re worried he's finally going to be f**king someone else… and that someone isn’t you?”
“That’s rich coming from someone who tried to seduce the boss only to be nearly beaten to d*ath.” I noticed the impact of my words as they struck her like a blow, and she seemed to flinch.
“ I’ve told you before: don’t ever bring that up in front of me again,” she shot back, her hand moving toward her knife with a swift, determined motion.
“And what are you planning to do with that knife? Intimidate me?” I replied with a smirk, quickly reaching for my own blade.
“You seem to have forgotten that I’m always prepared to stand my ground against you.”
It was clear tension was rising between us, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that this was about to escalate into something more intense.
“They’re definitely going to use their knives this time,” I overheard one person whisper anxiously.
“Who exactly is going to intervene?” another voice chimed in, filled with unease.
“Honestly, at this rate, they might just seriously hurt each other one day,” someone else remarked, reflecting the growing concern in the air.
“Still, I suspect they will face the boss's wrath after this incident,” the murmurs from the gathered crowd continued, but I remained resolute. There was no chance I would back down now.
Just then, we heard a commanding voice cut through the chatter,
“What’s happening here?” We turned to see Chyna, her presence exuding authority with her hands casually tucked into her pockets. With her tomboyish charm and fighting skills that eclipsed both McKenzie’s and mine, she was someone we both respected and feared in equal measure.
"Nothing"I said and put my knife back into my pocket.
"It better be nothing, because I won't hesitate to teach you both a lesson if boss instructs me to"She said coolly and walked away, bouncing like a boy.
