Chapter 5
Kathy opened her suitcase to take her clothes out so she could take a shower, then make something. She felt like a nurse taking care of a sick patient, walking to the bathroom but leaving the door open little one. The bathroom is not that big living in the penthouse, just turn on the water to wait until it warms up a bit. Kathy got into the shower, letting the water run down her body
Now she felt something heat going through her body that she never felt both quickly turn handlers toward cold water to cool down her body then this pain that is coming from her chest. She suddenly felt weak, collapsing onto the shower floor. Through her blurry vision, she noticed scales on the back of her hands and arms. What is happening to her body? Even though the cold water continued to pour down, she struggled to stand, her legs unresponsive. Only after slowly sitting up did she notice the fin. Kathy's touch confirmed the scales on her body were real, and she saw the same scales on the chest. She's a mermaid. Kathy used her upper strength to reach up and used the handlers to turn the water off, now sitting on the shower floor.
Kathy looks at her tail, it looks like a mix of color. As she runs her hand over her tail again, she almost cut her fingers with her own scale, thinking to herself how can she make her tail disappear. With quick thinking Kathy open the shower door and pulled herself out and started to crawl. While her tail weight a ton, reach to grab her towel on the sink lucky it was hang so she grabbed and dried off her body and tail, her legs return but now she is naked, she just stands up to get her night clothes but her legs felt weak. As she checked her phone for the time, it was only ten. It’s not really that late for a snack but she is tired from the day she had, probably should get some rest.
She exit out of the bathroom, and checks on Mr. Thompson and seems he is okay. Kathy put dirty clothes in the bag so she can take it back home with her, with only one bed Kathy decides to sleep in the same bed with Mr. Thompson on top of the blanket. Just went into the closet to get an extra blanket and try to get some sleep because today was a long day. Once Kathy lay on her head on the pillow, she went to sleep.
In the middle of the night Anthony woke up with a headache, he felt his body so heavy with what strength he has left, he sat up in the bed. Now he is thinking how did he get here? Until he hears light snoring as he turns his head to see a woman laying next to him under a blanket. Anthony covered his head with his hand and tries to remember what happened, but his head is still hurting. Who is this woman? Why is she in his bed? Anthony turns his head to the nightstand to see his room key card, cell phone still sitting there. He also sees a glass of water and some painkillers, therefore he took the painkiller with the water; his throat was so dry he finished all the water. Then he checked his cell phone. He had ten missed calls and messages from his Beta and his parents. As he was about to push the called button, the person next to him moved and turned over, went back to sleep. Anothony turns himself around in the bed so his feet are touching the floor as he makes his calls.
“Alpha, you are wake! How are you feeling?”
“I don’t remember what happened. Or how I got here. Who is this woman in my bed,”
“Alpha, that is the woman who saved you. She found you on the side of the road. Dr. Jones did come to the penthouse to check you out because the lady want to take you the hospital to get you check out,”
“Well, she is sleeping in my bed,”
“Alpha let her be. I will there in the morning with some clothes, just get some rest plus your parents have been asking around where you been,”
“What did you tell them?”
“I just told them that you needed to get away for a while, and will return home soon,”
“I need you to do an investigation of who want me dead,”
“Yes, alpha,”
“For now, I am going back to sleep. I will see you in the morning,”
“Yes, alpha,”
Anthony hangs up the phone, and puts it back on the nightstand. The ladies cellphone started to light up on her side of the bed, but she doesn’t move one bit until the phone stopped ringing, thinking to himself it must not be important.
“Mate!” said Max Anthony’s wolf
“This woman is our mate. We don’t even know her,”
“Anthony, her scent smells like apple spice mixed with brown sugar. It's a rare scent to have, it seem that the moon goddess sent her to us. We been waiting for her to come into our life,”
“Max, I don’t want to wake her up. However I’ve got this feeling that this women would fight with us every step or she can help us in a long way,”
“We have to see in the morning right now I am going back to sleep, it seems I don’t remember what happened to us or how we got there?”
Max went to the back of Anthony's mind still recovering for them both, therefore Anthony laid down on to the pillow, put his hand under his head just looking up at the ceiling. Unknown, the woman turned over and moved toward him, until she put her head on his chest with arm over his stomach. They both felt that spark from this unknown woman.
