Chapter 3
Upon reaching the car, the man, who was quite heavy, opened the passenger door and carefully entered to avoid hitting his head on the car's end. Kathy heard a noise from the woods after closing the door, so she grabbed her bat and hurried to the driver's side. Kathy ensured she got into her car safely and drove off as she saw two enormous wolves emerge from the woods, but they didn't pursue her.
Kathy slowed down a bit, as she made it to the Ruby Palace Hotel where it is safe and well lit up, then she turned around to see the man had his eyes closed, careful she went to check his pockets for a phone or wallet to show who he was. But there was nothing.
“Sir, you need to go to the hospital you may have a head injury,”
“No, hospital,”
“It can be serious. Can you remember where you lived?”
“My apartment is at The Ruby Palace Hotel penthouse,”
“Alright, but I can’t find your wallet or cellphone,”
“The keycard is inside of my jacket pocket so is my phone,”
Kathy reached inside of his jacket pocket and took out his keycard and cellphone. She goes into his recent calls that say Beta Miles. And quickly, push the button for Miles' number after three rings he answers. It sounded like he was sleeping.
“Hello, Alpha Anthony, you see how late it is?”
“Um…. hi this is not Anthony, well he is in my car, I found him on the side of the road he has a head injury I was about to take him to the hospital he told me not too. I called you,”
“What did you do with my alpha?”
“Nothing I told you, I find him on the ground on the side of the road. We are at the Ruby Palace Hotel if you want to come and pick him up then take him to the hospital yourself.”
“Give me a min, I will call the doctor to meet you at the penthouse,”
“I don’t think a doctor can fix it, But once a hospital can,”
“Trust me, give me second,”
As Kathy is waiting for Miles to finish talking to the doctor, she just parks the car closer to the front entrance, just sitting there with the car running. After five minutes of waiting, Miles came back on the phone.
“The doctor will meet at the penthouse, just take him there,”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, the doctor meets you there,”
Kathy turns off the car, now she has to get her suitcase out of the car, but she needs to get this man up to his apartment, put his phone and card into her pocket as she gets out of the car, try to take her keys. Kathy closed the driver's door and went to the passenger door to mystery man out. The mystery didn’t have on his seatbelt because she was rushing him into her car. Luckily, the police officer didn’t pull her over because of it. Once she got the door open, she tries her best to get the man out of the car without hitting his head. She put his arm around her shoulder to support his weight, used her foot to close the door, and locked the door. But she has to come back to the car to get her suitcase once the doctor gets into the penthouse and checks him out. Slowly walking to the door, it’s open, you can feel the cool air. She went to the first desk. The young man was typing on the computer as he saw Kathy with an unknown man hanging off her shoulder.
“Hi, my name is Kathy, I am here to take Anthony, his friend Miles says he has a penthouse, I have his card on me,”
“What happened to Mr. Thompson?” asked the young man
“I found him on the side of the road his friend Miles told me to bring him here, and they will come over to check him out,”
“I will let you know if the doctor shows up. Just use his card on the lock pad inside of the elevator and it will take you to his penthouse,”
“Thank you. After I do this, I need a room for myself for a couple of days,”
“Just let me know,”
“Thank you,”
Kathy walked toward the elevator and pushed the button, as she was waiting for the door to open, she felt his hand on her waist that made her sniff a little. The door opened and they both step inside as the door was closing. Kathy used the key card that goes into the penthouse apartment. Lucky the man is still breathing. Looking at the man, want to rub his cheek and run her fingers into his hair to feel it, but she doesn't know him. Once again, why was the blind man out there by himself or was he supposed to meet someone out there and fell into a trap to rob him but ended up attacking him instead? The door once again opened into the penthouse Kathy slowly walked in, the place was perfect like it wasn’t used in the first place. She took the unknown man to the bedroom so that the doctor can come and check him out. She laid him on the bed and put his head on the pillow. Kathy felt all that weight off her shoulder. Kathy went into the bathroom to get a cloth, then fill the sink with warm water to wipe the blood on his head to check if he has any wound. And hope that it is not a big cut.
Once his wound was clean from any blood and dirt, she hoped that he doesn’t get an infection if he does have an open wound on his head. Kathy used her flashlight to check for any wound, and there was nothing. She used a cloth to clean him and undressed him completely. Clean him before covering him; wait for the doctor.
