“Because I don’t have the luxury of not liking you, Aria,” he said, his voice a low, rough confession, laced with a bitter resentment.

“What the hell does that mean, Cassian? Are you finally losing your mind?”

I’m such a curse, then why not protect yourself?

The heavy, wrought-iron door creaked shut behind me with a deep, metallic moan, a sound like a sepulcher sealing. It locked with a soft, resonant thud, sealing me inside, severing my last tangible link to the familiar world of the Academy. The silence that followed was absolute, suffocat...
