CHAPTER 3

XAVIER LIAM SCOTT'S POINT OF VIEW

I walked into the dark hallway, only the light that was coming from the torches is the only thing that lit up the place. On the cement wall, there were torches, that lightened up to become a light in this dark hallway. The ceiling and sides of the wall were full of web cabs. In here, was cold, which makes my body shiver.

The cold wind passes by my bare skin. I am just wondering in this long dark hallway. All the doors were closed because the young werewolf kids were already asleep.

Early on tomorrow morning would be their next excessive training. I walked on this long corridor as I was going to ask one of my superiors for one important question.

But first I would find Daven and ordered him something important...

I walked all around the hideout until I found Azeri. He was sitting on the terrace of this house. I walked towards him and tapped his shoulder.

"You want some wine?" He asked me and drank his wine.

"No. Thanks!" I refused.

I looked at the moon that was shining above the sky, it shines like before. The sky was dark as the alley. Thousands of stars were shining above the sky, which gives light to the surrounding.

I could only hear the birds chirping. The night was silent as before the past few days.

Only darkness comes every night that could make me happier.

"Have the children learned anything today?" I asked him while staring at the stars above the sky.

He first took a sip of a glass of his wine before he answered.

"Yes!" He shortly replied.

I never felt pity for any of those kids. Since they needed to face the cruel reality. They need to learn for themselves to be able to protect there self.

In this world, they needed to stand on their own, because no one would risk their life just to protect them. And this organization taught me that. That is why I was always been cruel in the eyes of others. They didn't even know that only the organization taught me to be like this, and I was never been like this before.

"I heard the organization would be stopped adopting young werewolf kids for a while, " I started the conversation before the place would be silent.

He looked at me with curiosity on his face and put down the wine he was about to drink.

"Really?" He asked me in disbelief.

"Yes!" I answered shortly.

"That is a piece of good news! Since we can't even handle those kids they were so difficult to teach than last year, " he commented.

He was right it was so difficult to train those kids than last year. Because they are more terrified than before.

But we can't say "NO" on this job...

I was not experiencing the same. Since I was always been giving some mission that comes from our superior. And I wanted to end it, as soon as possible.

"You're right!" I replied.

"So have the superior given you a mission already?" He asked me as he changed the topic.

Oh! Crap. I forgot I was gonna asked my superior for something important.

I totally forgot it!

Because I talked with Azeri for so long and didn't even realize the time. I would need to find our fourth superior to asked him about something.

"I already had, " I answered.

"Good for you!" He replied.

"I am gonna get going, Azier. Because I would gonna talked with our superior with something important, " I told him before turning to leave.

He just nodded at me and smiled before taking a sip on his glass of wine.

I walked out from the cold balcony and head towards the long corridor. There are so many rooms in here. Some rooms are for kids, training rooms, a meeting hall, and a lot more.

Maybe there are around 400 rooms in here in this 16th-floor building. Every floor had 25 rooms, I always use the elevator to make my way shorter and faster.

I looked at my watch while walking. It was already 10 o'clock in the night. Our fourth superior must be in his usual room. Because at this time I am sure that there meeting is over.

I needed to ask him for some files for the mission that is been missing from the files that he had given me. It was incomplete, and I needed the complete files to make sure that my investigation would be easy as before.

I also need to say to him that if it is possible that I would rest for just a week. Because Taurel said that she needed me to come with her. And I already promised it to her, and I dont wanna ruined that promise. I am now praying that they would let me take a rest week, just for one week.

After a few minutes of walking and taking the elevator multiples times. I finally found my fourth superior's room. Where he always wanted to rest for a while.

I took a deep breath and sighed.

There is a little open space on his door that I could see a little bit of his room from the space that was opened.

I was about to enter but I heard he was talking to someone.

"We already found the long-lost daughter of the former Alpha who died years ago. The Alpha who marries and made his luna that was a half-blooded werewolf, " he stated.

"Really?" My superior asked.

I noticed it was him even I dont see him because I know his voice.

"Anyone that would fall in love with her would be never been touched. The former Alpha made a rule that no one would dare to hurt his daughter or else they would be killed in an instant. That is why we could not harm her, " he replied.

"I know this was coming. My thoughts were right!" My superior replied.

I listen closely to hear what who they are talking about.

Since the former Alpha died, her daughter was nowhere to be found.

Now they are talking about her. She had really had a nice destiny because no one would ever dare to harm her. Because of the rule that was made by his father years ago.

"What is her name again?" My superior asked.

The next thing I heard made me shocked and weak. My knees started to tremble, and I wanted to sit down in shock.

The name that they had to say keeps running on my mind.

I can't believe it!

How?

Why?

Why does it have to be her?

"Taurel Leana Wilson, "
