CHAPTER 3
Doctor Ruby's office is a pretty spacious room decorated with two gigantic fancy couches. At the right side of the room lies an Italian clock that ticks like a deer tick.
Sophie was seated on the right-hand side of the couch, tensed and battling with the oceans of tears that push themselves out. 'Nay, Stones don't cry, so you won't cry either" she uttered.
There's a reception room on the left-hand side where some patients and nursing mothers await to be called to the doctor's room.
She was seated quietly with flips of thoughts running through her mind. Lucas didn't do this to me, right? Clara didn't do it either, right? She uttered. She continued, 'If I die, I die well. If I live, I live wrong". The little Lucas in my womb would be gone, gone, gone. It would be washed away like Sandy soil. No! Lucas would pay! Clara would live to regret this hell she made me go through.
Right now, Sophie couldn't hold back the tears. The waterfall was the drops of tears that flowed from her eyes. Her eyelids have turned red so that one wouldn't need to enquire about the amount of pain that she was passing through.
Would you stop sobbing like a baby? Clara said hoarsely. Do you know that Lucas wouldn't accept this shit you got as his right? And this is why you need to cooperate let's get rid of it?

They were chuckles, sounds echoing beneath the dark room. Gosh! Those little monsters are at it again! Sophie cried out. Nay! I'm ain't trapped right? I know that my once gentle dove now Lucifer has ordered the abortion of my baby. Ain't they no conscience to subject me to this hell? Sophie cried louder. Clara is no saint too. She plotted all this for her selfish interest. I know. The doctor, that ridiculous doctor who couldn't shape his son into a better wolf.
Sophie was struggling to open the door. Suddenly, she felt a sharp cut on her right leg. But she couldn't find the thing that gave her the cut as great darkness lies in the room. This time, she started groaning and convulsing. The groan was like that of a dog. Her wail persisted and the entire room started shaking like an earthquake.
The Italian wall clock fell off and broke like a clay pot. The couches were turned upside down. Clara and Dr Ruby were nowhere to be seen. Sophie was struggling with the inner force- the monster who tried to take the greater part of her. Yes. she's a wolf, a full-fledged one. But sometimes, the spiritual force tends to contend with the physical force to determine the magnitude of its strength.
Sophie woke up around 3:50 am. Oh, she's still breathing said the doctor. Nurse Ford, get ready let's operate on the fetus now that she's still unconscious.
Clara smiled like one who has won a lottery. Oh, the victory is mine. ' I, Clara have automatically become the new Luna of the pack" Oh heavens be gracious.
Doctor Ruby "you must operate very fast" Don't let the fetus live declared Clara.
A force from the door interrupted the surgery. It was Lucas who came to behold his once sweetheart. Even the clouds could attest to the love he once had for Sophia but not now, it's all gone like winter.
He moved close to her and ordered that he should be left alone. At the glance of his beloved Sophie, he wept. If only she didn't cheat on Louis. Alas! Man's life is a bunch bittersweet. Lucas cried out.
Doctor Ruby, operate her! Get the fucking bastard fetus out of her. Lucas ordered.
Again, remember don't let her die! Lucas exited the premises. Next, he was seen in an inn playing chess. Clara spotted him and ran towards him.
'You would make me the most powerful Luna of the pack right? I would walk on gold and sapphires hun? Lucas giggles. Oh, prettiest thing. 'You gotta this body but the soul belongs to Sophie". Clara hissed with great disgust. Oh goodness, breathe me some fresh air. These people stink like carcasses.
Dr Ruby steadily gazes through his microscope but it seems that there's something wrong with this particular operation. There's a big complication here. The fetus is three months now. It has formed a being. Listen, Clara said to Dr Ruby. "It's a high chance that this operation is successful. It seems Sophia ain't gonna survive the Operation due to heavy bleeding that would come as a result of that.
Do it, Dr Ruby! Do it champ! You ain't a neophyte, Are you? I don't wanna lose my crown. I belong to the pack! I'm gonna get it through any means. Operate her, if she dies, let her blood be on me. Clara voiced.
Here are the documents to sign said Dr Ruby to Clara. Sign the document of death, I'm ain't part of this bloody shit. Clara collected the paper and signed it.
Now, the doctor is being seen in the theatre putting on gloves and aprons. Nurse Fords, get ready. At the count of one, two, three, ready go… The doctor cut open her skin. Slide his sharp object into her womb and brought out the fetus.
The stitching of the flesh ain't easy cos her blood was gushing profusely. Doctor Rubby had tried using his twenty-six years of experience but yet to no avail. No, something was wrong somewhere. A tiny object has been broken in her womb during the operation.
Sophie was drowsy, she has lost a lot of blood. The sound of her breath was loudly terrible that one would assume it was a drumbeat. As she was about to give up the ghost she uttered 'some good men, some bad men live in a world of love and hate. Till Waters of great oceans splashes, I'm gonna get it right.'
