Chapter 28
Kyle grinned and I gave him a thumbs up. He then pulled out the curling iron and tightly wrapped the tips of Neveah's hair on it and pressed it well. When it was done Neveah faced me again.
"Prefect." I clapped as she struck a pose in the chair
"Your turn." Neveah said getting up and pulling me up "You're naturally beautiful so you don't need much."
She seated me in the chair and put the cover over me. She studied my face and my hair while running a part through her fingers. She then whispered something to Kyle and he nodded.
"Si Nobildonna." he said and turned to me
He then began to trim my hair. I wondered what the heck he was doing.
My hair is mid-back and he's still cutting! Did I spoil my naturally curly hair that bad?! Shit.... He's still cutting! I'm never straightening my hair AGAIN!!!
Kyle eyed me and I closed my eyes not daring to look at my hair.
What's he doing?
I felt his pouring a cool liquid in my hair and rubbing it in and brushing my hair out. He put in a few more cool liquids and combed my hair out.
"You can look now Royalty." Neveah said
I dared myself to open my eyes and I gasped at what I saw. My hair was soapy but through the soap I saw my real natural curls. The curls I thought I had lost for good. I looked down at the mass of my hair on the ground. My hair was a big puff of curls and reached my shoulders. The ends were wild and curly and as Neveah said I did look beautiful.
"Washy washy time." Neveah sang and she and Kyle led me to the big white sink
I sat down and leaned my head back and Kyle washed the soap out my hair.
"How did you know I wanted back my natural hair?" I asked Neveah though my eyes were closed
"Your curly hair then straightened hair and other wise looked terrible so I had a hunch you wanted natural so I asked Kyle to cut it." Neveah explained "He then put in a special shampoo like liquid to remove any of the straighten ends in you curled tips so now you can re-grow your hair."
"Grazie Neve." I thanked her
"You speak Italian?" she laughed
"I'm getting there." I said and we laughed
Kyle finished rinsing out the substance and wrapped my hair in a towel. He then led me over to another part and pulled out a small silver hair dryer. He turned it on to medium heat and kept it still while I whipped my hair left and right and sang Whip My Hair. Kyle laughed at my childish behavior and Neveah sang along with a hairbrush. My hair was finished at last and Kyle gel my hair into a curly Mohawk.
Neveah paid using Xavier's card and we left. The body guards smiled at us as we left and one opened the door for us and we got in drove down to the mall. Italy's mall was huge! There were so many floors. Neveah led me into the first store filled with cosmetics.
"Red lipstick or pink?" she asked me
"Your creamed complexion says pink a little close to red but not too dark and not too light...in between like....this." I said and chose a color from the stand and held it up to her lips
"Gosh, you're a genius." Neveah gasped realizing the color suited her "You don't need lipstick my girl. Your lips are naturally pink and you're a natural star. A little lip gloss will do and a very light shade of pink."
She searched through the racks for a very light shade of pink then chose out ten different flavors of lip gloss. She was a real lipstick girl and she bought a number of lipstick colors.
"One for every outfit or combination." she said cashing our stuff and I laughed and shook my head
We went into another store and bought cool colors of chalk dye.
"I'm buying white, pink, orange, and yellow, neon green and electric blue." I called over to her on the other side while handing one of the guards the boxes of chalk
"I'm a big fan of lilac and coral pink." Neveah called back "I'm taking that and a few firework colors. Let's go jewelry shopping after."
We bought tropical fruit smoothies then went jewelry shopping.
"Diamonds or sapphires?" Neveah asked me holding up two necklaces
"Neveah!" I exclaimed "Those cost a fortune!"
"That's why billionaires are my older brothers." Neveah shrugged "It doesn't matter how much things cost. I just shop 'til I drop!"
I guess she was right there. The mafia bosses weren't materialized and didn't use money unwisely but when they shopped it didn't matter the cost.
"Sapphire." I said "It goes with the blue chalk dye and the blue dress you bought."
"Alright." Neveah said trying it on
I wondered off and came across a shelf of earrings. Two guards stood a little way off keeping an eye on me. They kept distance when they sensed we wanted to be alone but they watched us like hawks! I chose a pair of heart shaped earrings, small golden loops and a pair of silver and gold safety pin ones. I bought those and Neveah and I went off to buy shoes.
"Where did you travel to?" I asked Neveah while sitting on a bench trying on a pair of white six inch heels with a zipper and gold buckles
"I went to school in Spain." Neveah answered pointing to a box of shoes which one of the guards took down and opened "I want a size eight please."
An attendant bought one and the guard opened it and Neveah took out one side and tried it on.
"I'm done now and graduated. I want to be a designer." she continued "What do you want to be?"
"I wanted to get a scholarship." I replied "I didn't know what I wanted to be but lately I realized I wanted to open my own bakery or something like that."
"Eh! Really?" Neveah asked "How about we open our own boutique. We could have a café. What do you think?"
"I love it." I said excitedly
