Chapter Eleven.

ARTEMIS’S POINT OF VIEW

Three days have gone by since I saw him at the club, and I still get wet when I think of him. Something’s wrong. I think my brain broke.

I need to get him out of my mind, so I've decided to relax by the pool and soak up some vitamin D from the sun while I make a plan for today to keep my mind off him.

I have a few errands to run, but they’re not big, so I’ll ride my motorbike and enjoy that exhilarating and freeing feeling I always get when I’m riding. Maybe the strong wind and speed will also keep my skin from tingling in dangerous ways, like he did, and I'll forget all about it. All about him.

Said and done, I put on my helmet, jump on the bike, and ride as if today is the last day of my life. Well, with my job, it might as well be. No one knows who I am, but that doesn't mean I can't kick the bucket faster than a normal person.

I finish the last errand and quickly pass between cars, but a red light stops me.

I take the time to observe my surroundings and assess the people around me — the ordinary folks.

There are a few couples on the sidewalk, some kissing, some holding hands, teenagers laughing and pushing each other around, and I can’t help but smile.

I remember when my twinnie and I were teenagers and would come home from school. I would tease her about a boy she liked, Jerry was his name, and she would pout and push me, making me laugh.

I sigh and look away from the kids to the car next to me, and oh, dear God!

It’s HIM!

A familiar uneasy sensation returns to my stomach, and my heartbeat thunders loudly in my ears.

What should I do? I am in full panic mode. There are only a few seconds left until the traffic light turns green.

Without hesitating, I take off my helmet, knock on his window, smile, then blow him a kiss. His eyes go wide, his mouth drops open, but before he can react, I put my helmet back on and accelerate.

Damn, I thought my bike was fast, but it’s nothing compared to how fast my heart is racing right now. Still, the look on his face makes up for the almost heart failure.

ADONIS’S POINT OF VIEW

Today, Liam and I had to visit the warehouse that was robbed a few days ago to take inventory and make sure nothing else was missing. We have also upgraded the security and alarm systems at all our warehouses, installed additional sensors, and hired more security personnel.

We were in the middle of a conversation when we stopped at a traffic light, and I heard a knock on my window. I turn and HOLY MARY MOTHER OF GOD, it's HER!

I'm in shock. All I manage to say is: “Liam, it’s her!” Like the little devil that she is, she smiles at me... and God knows I've never seen a smile as beautiful as hers.

And the kiss she blows me reminds me of how much I miss those red lips. And... before I can do anything, she drives off.

SHE IS A GODDESS!!!

Evil, very evil, but a goddess nonetheless.

“Ado, I know I’m married, I know there’s a big possibility you’ll shoot me, but damnnnn that was the sexiest thing my eyes had the privilege to witness!”

“Drive! Don’t lose her. We’ll talk later about shooting you!”

“I’m trying, man, but she’s fast, and that damn ass of hers doesn’t help me much! I mean… wow…” I’m about to have a heart attack, and what my dear brother is saying only spikes my heart rate.

He is right, her ass forms a sexy as fuck upside-down heart shape — the kind of curve that artists sketch and poets blush trying to describe. Full at the top, tapering down with perfect symmetry, it moves like it has its own rhythm, equal parts allure and attitude. And I can only imagine how my dick would slide in and out of her... but if I’m imagining this, then Liam is also--

She had that upside-down heart shape — the kind of curve that artists sketch and poets blush trying to describe. Full at the top, tapering down with perfect symmetry, it moved like it had its own rhythm — equal parts allure and attitude."

“Now I’m gonna shoot you! Keep your eyes on the road!” A ton of mixed feelings wash over my body, and I have the feeling I’ll combust and explode.

“I’m trying, believe me. I do.. but I’m only a human…” I disregard his comment because she’s getting further and further away, and I’m getting more tempted to shoot the fucker.

“She’s getting away, Liam! Drive faster!”

“I can’t, it’s fucking traffic!” He snaps back, and I unbuckle my seatbelt, bend over the console, and start honking continuously, but it’s in vain.

FUCK!

She’s gone.

“This woman will be the death of me, man. She’s gone. I lost her again.” The disappointment in my voice does no justice to the disappointment in my whole fucking body.

“Bro, that girl has you wrapped around her finger. You are a lost cause.” My stomach tightens at his statement, and I panic just a tiny bit.

“No way, it’s not like that! She is just hot and I want to fuck her! And she drives me crazy only because of that! That’s all.” Right? But I want her for more than one fuck... oh, shit.

“Okay, if she has nothing on you, if she’s not special, forget about her. There are other hot girls you can fuck.” I look at him and can’t believe that this is my brother speaking.

“Haven’t you seen how she looks? No other girl compares to her!” He glances at me briefly just to flash that damn smirk on his face.

“As I said… whipped !” I sigh heavily and decide to acknowledge my defeat.

“I am… aren’t I?”

"I just told you, I know you better than you know yourself. Don’t forget that.” He does, so maybe he’s a tiny bit right.

“Yeah… whatever. But that doesn’t mean that I won’t shoot you anymore!” He chuckles loudly, but I give him my most serious look.

“Ado, let's be serious, you love me too much to shoot me. And besides, who will listen to your shit all the time?” The cocky smile on his face makes me smile back. Idiot.

“Yeah, yeah… but don’t push your luck.” I lean back in my seat and close my eyes to relive the moment that changed my life. Because it did, she did.
