He Craved Her

Chapter 4: He Craved Her

Logan's POV

My life had been a stagnant river with no improvement even though I had conquered the underground world, but something was missing, and that was the reason I kidnapped her. Even though I had kidnapped her some days ago, I could already tell it would be fun with her around.

“Oh, my little fly,” I looked at her fondly from the monitor in my office. I made sure to install CCTV cameras in her room because I knew she wouldn't sit still. She would want to escape from me, but I wouldn't allow that.

She was the only person I had ever wanted so much in my life, even though her family and I had been rivals for decades. I couldn't risk not being with her; I had been in denial for way too long. I had loved for way too long, so it was her turn to love me back.

“That crazy red-haired girl is killing me,” I ruffled, as I stared at her angry face through the camera. While she looked around the room for a way out, I could watch her all day, but my hobby was interrupted by a knock, and I asked the person to come in.

Eduardo, my second-in-command and also my best friend, walked in, and I knew the news of Scarlett, a daughter of a rival gang, was in my custody. Anything that had to do with a rival group was a deal breaker to Eduardo; he would never listen to me.

“Boss,” he said as he bowed gently, but I knew that much formality comes with disrespect later. Eduardo didn't have a filtered mouth.

“How was the trip? Were you able to close the deal?” I asked, looking back at the files that I was working on.

“Yes, even though there were some slight problems I took care of, that's why I can't understand why someone I know is out there causing problems.” He rasped.

“Someone you know? Give me a name, and I will make sure the person doesn't get to see the rest of the day,” I said, and he glared at me.

“Why is the niece of Don Gazalo in the mansion? Have you lost it?” He asked, slamming his fist on the table, and when I raised my head, he calmed himself. “Boss,” he added.

“It just happened that way,” I replied vaguely, but that was a lie. I had it planned out for a long time, but it's just that I couldn't wait any longer; I might lose it if she got married to someone else.

“Why her? There are many girls ready to warm your bed, to be ruined by you, and who want to stay by your side, so why her? Why is that red-haired devil?” He asked, but I will never give him the answer he wants.

And did I forget to mention Eduardo and Scarlett hate each other's guts? I think she hated him more than me.

“Because she's not another girl; she's Scarlett Kendrick, and the girl I want so badly.” He said, and Eduardo ran his hands through his hair angrily.

“I thought you had outgrown that little crush, but seeing how you don't mind getting into a fight with two rival groups at once, I figured you know what you are doing.” He mumbled, and I smiled.

If there's something about Eduardo that I like so much, it's that he always supports my decision no matter the consequences, and I love him for that.

“But her people will not sit still; they will come for you if they find out she's with you,” he said, and I assured him that I had it taken care of. I explained the deal I made with Scarlett, excluding a lot of details, and I watched Eduardo look irritated by the idea.

“I will give her back to them in six months if she doesn't want me,” I said as I stamped a file, and Eduardo looked at me in bewilderment.

“Are you sure about this? I mean, this girl will kill you. I am not in support of this,” Eduardo rasped, and I chuckled seeing how he was so worried.

“Really? Then did you want to date me instead? I mean, I will let her go if you date me,” I said, and I watched as Eduardo recoiled with disgust.

“Aish! Are you not ashamed? How could you even think you are my spec to begin with?” He said, gawking at me, and I threw files at him.

“Get out!” I screamed, and he hissed in disgust before he walked to the door. “Is there something more to this you're not telling me, Logan?” He asked, and my eyes twitched when I heard that question from him.

How am I to respond to that? Could I really tell him the real reason behind that?

“Nothing; don't stress that little brain of yours,” I replied, and he gave me the middle finger before he walked away.

I returned back to my work, but a call came into my phone, and I picked it up. It was from Eduardo. “The Rat brothers? Did you catch them?” I asked, and I got a positive reply.

There were some of my men that went against my order and carried out some dirty business with my name, which was unacceptable.

“Keep them there; I will join you shortly,” I said as I walked out of the office. Anyone who betrayed Logan Russo should be ready to face death
