Chapter 4: She Is In Danger

Ronald

“Okay, any last words?” I asked the guy tied up in the chair underneath the dim light dangling above him.

“You said you would let me go free if I answered your questions. I had told you everything I know, asshole, now let me go like you said you would!” He yelled. Shrugging my shoulders, I kept the gun aimed at him.

“I lied.” He opened his mouth up to speak again but I didn't let him. Instead, I just shot him right in the head and blood gushed out of him at a fast speed right onto the cold floor.

I didn't care for anything else he had to say, it couldn't have been important anyway so why even bother hearing him speak again. Besides, those were his last words anyway. I already got my information on the new shipments that were coming and I wanted in on it. I headed over to the exit of the warehouse and opened the doors and walked out. I turned around and grabbed the key out of my pocket, putting the chains through the door handles and locking it and set the key back into my pocket. After I was done with that, I dusted off my hands and walked over to my car. I jumped in and turned the ignition and drove off.

Today has been a pretty easy day for my mafia so far, there weren't as many threats or likes as there were before but that was probably because there was still daylight outside. Most mafias like to do their hunting at night time which is understandable. Working in the mafia was one thing but becoming the Don was another. I had been the leader of my mafia ever since my father passed away. It was definitely challenging at first but I was able to get through with it. Ever since then, my life has been full of gun violence and mafia battle. This has become a normal part of my life but I wasn't complaining since I found it to be pretty cool and it gave me special privilege.

Almost everyone that looked at me already knew my name, same with my second-in-command and my third-in-command. Grayson and Damien, both are my cousin brothers. Grayson was the quiet type of guy who only ever focused on work, me and Damien would call him a workaholics because of how much time he spends working at his other business and in the mafia. Both Damien and I were rarely quiet but we weren't chaotic or anything either. We lived our lives normally, almost as if the mafia didn't do anything to change us. It only made us stronger men but our personalities stayed the same.

I checked the time on my wrist watch, it was already five in the evening. I hadn't eaten anything today so far, I had left early this morning to go take care of some business. Since I had the time, I decided to go and eat somewhere. I would have headed home and just eaten there but I didn't really feel like going home just yet. I wanted to finally go and eat outside again since I have been in hiding for so long. After killing off the Don a few weeks ago, I was being targeted along with my two brothers. We had to stay hiding until we finally killed off the last of the remaining mafia members. Taking down an entire gang of mafia was an accomplishment for most and it definitely was one for me.

I drove for almost about twenty minutes before I finally stopped at a restaurant close by. I was just hungry and didn't feel like driving around more to find a place to sit and eat. I parked the car and got out, shutting the door and locking the car. I walked over to the entrance of the restaurant and let myself in. As soon as I stepped in, the hostess at the stand looked up and instantly noticed who I was.

“Mr. Winston, it has been such a long time since I have seen your presence again.”

“Yes, I know.” I replied.

“Is it just you today?” She asked as she grabbed a menu and I nodded my head.

“Yes, just me today.”

“Great, then follow me, I will get you seated.” She said as she started walking.

I followed her over to one of the tables, watching as she put the menu down on it and moved away. I grabbed the chair and pulled it out and sat on it.

“Are you going to have your regular like before or are you trying something different this time?”

I thought about it for a second, opening my mouth to respond before my phone buzzed.

“One moment,” I said, taking my phone out of my pocket and looking down at it. It was a text message from Damien.

'Hey, man. I need you as soon as possible to discuss something important.’

'I hate your damn timing.’ I groaned inwardly.

“Actually, I am afraid I can't stay long. So I will just take my normal other and take it as a takeout order if that is not a problem for you.” She started writing down on her notepad.

“Of course, I will get that for you right away. Did you want a drink or anything?”

“No, thanks. I have one in the car.” She smiled at me and walked away to prepare my order.

I slumped back in the chair and decided to reply to Damien since he probably thought I just left him on read.

'I will be home in about twenty minutes, maybe even longer so don't wait for me.’

‘Didn't plan on it.’ he replied.

I turned off my phone and waited patiently for the food to come so I could get out of her. I really didn't want to go back home but if it was an emergency then I had no choice. After about ten minutes, the girl finally came back with the food all boxed up and stored in a bag. She placed it down on the table in front of me. I took out my wallet and handed her the money for the food plus tips.

“My apologies for the random inconvenience but thank you for the food.”

“No need to apologize, I understand.” She said as I grabbed the food and stood up.

“Have a good night, Mr. Winston.”

“Have a good night to you too.” I replied, walking away from her.

I reached into my car and opened and jumped into the driver's seat. I dropped the food in the passenger seat and put on my seatbelt. I always hated wearing a seatbelt but I didn't feel like taking the risk in case of a car crash so I just wore it. I drove out of the restaurant. It was starting to rain which was upsetting since I really wasn't too fond of the rain but thankfully I was in a car. I continued driving for about ten minutes until I saw something up ahead. It was that girl I had seen the other night at the store, I recognized her beautiful face and her long gorgeous black hair. But something didn't seem right here, so I slowed the car down to take a better look. I pulled over to the opposite side of the road, watching whatever was happening.

Four boys surrounded her while she was heavily panting on the ground, holding her stomach with her arms wrapped around her small figure.
