3, I don't do hit and runs
Nash
We had talked about the issues with the club for a long while. The members of the mother chapter’s board asked a lot of questions. Most of them were questions I understood why they asked, others seemed a bit strange. But we tried to answer the best we could.
“Fuck, this does sound like a mess,” Jacob told us.
“It is,” Bones agreed. There was silence as everyone thought about it.
“Jacob?” a woman called. I saw him tense up and then make a noticeable effort to relax.
“Yes, Mara?” he asked. A blond woman around Jacob’s and Bone’s age walked into the room. She was wearing khaki shorts and a pink blouse, her hair in a neat bob. She looked like she didn’t belong in this place. She looked like she belonged in a suburb.
“I’m just heading into town for a little bit,” she told Jacob. I could see the frown on his face, but he nodded.
“I will be going as well, Alpha,” another woman said. She looked to be a little younger than me. Dressed in a bubblegum pink sundress and her blond hair in two braids. It was clear she was related to Mara.
“Fine,” Jacob said. There was an outstretched silence. The younger woman nodded for no apparent reason. “This is Beta Bones and Gamma Wolf. They are from our subchapter,” Jacob told the women. “This is my Luna, Mara, and her daughter Kendra,” he then told us. Both Bones and I nodded in their direction. I could both see and feel Kendra eyeing me up. I was not suicidal and I would stay away from her. She spelled trouble. She had a nice body and it would have been okay to spend a night with her. But the way she had been introduced as Jacob’s old lady’s daughter, not as his. And the tension the other members of his club had towards the two women. Yeah, I wouldn't touch that with a pole, I thought. The women left to my relief.
“Do you mind if me and my men step away and talk for a moment?” Jacob asked us.
“No, not at all. We understand this may take some discussion,” Bones told him. Jacob grunted.
“There should be food in the kitchen, the runners are about to come back. Help yourself and there is always beer in the bar,” Ulf told us.
“I’ll go and grab us some chow,” I told Bones.
“Then I’ll get the beer,” he said as we were alone. I walked to where Ulf had indicated the kitchen to be. There were a set of pale green double doors that swung on their hinges and I strolled into the kitchen. What I found was not food but the most beautiful and sexy woman I had ever seen. Her black hair was pulled up in a messy bun on her head, her slim figure only showed off the curves she had and the torn jeans and band t-shirt she had on, tied in a knot at the waist, just seemed to fit her. I could see tattoos on her arms, I liked tattoos on a woman. Then I looked up and met her eyes and I swore the world stopped spinning as I looked into her pale blue eyes. My body wanted her, my brain was trying to figure out where I could take her which would give us enough privacy for what I wanted to do to her. I put on the smirk I knew made women crazy.
“Hi,” I told her.
“Hello,” she said. She sounded almost out of breath.
“I’m Wolf, I’m the Gamma of the Howlers,” I told her. She looked at me in surprise.
“You are who now?” she asked.
“Wolf,” I repeated. She laughed, and the sound was a mix of a running brook and silver bells. I was confused by why she was laughing, but I liked the sound of it.
“That is funny,” she told me. I smiled my most flirtatious smile.
“And why is that?” I asked as I walked closer to her. The doors swayed shut behind me. She looked at me with a smile on her lips.
“That is my secret,” she told me. I hummed. She was flirting back. This was going well.
“And what is your name?” I asked.
“I’m Tite.”
“I don’t think I have ever heard that name before,” I said as I stopped just in front of her. The air was buzzing with tension.
“It’s the short version of my name,” she told me. She was still looking in my eyes. She was a little shorter than me and had to tilt her head back. Not all persons seemed to be giants in this place.
“And what is it short for?” I asked.
“Nefertiti,” she told me. “It’s a family name on my mom’s side,” she explained.
“Fancy. It suits you,” I told her.
“So. Are we just going to stand here discussing names?” she asked. Straight to the point, I liked it.
“I would prefer to take you someplace where we could have some fun,” I said.
“Fun?”
“Yes, the naked kind. You won’t regret it,” I promised. I leaned into her. Placing my one hand on the counter behind her.
“And after the fun?” she asked. I felt myself tense up.
“Look. I don’t do the whole relationship thing. I’m not after an old lady and I won’t lie to you and say there will be more than some mind blowing good sex,” I told her. I might not be into relationships, but I wasn’t a complete fucker. I would never lure someone into bed with false hopes. I always made it clear that the only thing I was up for was a one time of fun. The tension between us sizzled and I felt myself grow hard. Then she took a sidestep away from me and stood a couple of steps away, her arms crossed.
“Sorry, slugger. I don’t do hit and runs. There are plenty of sweet butts hanging around here in the evenings.”
“Slugger?” I asked. For a moment I thought I saw something in her eyes. Disappointment? But she turned away from me before I had a chance to look closer.
“See you around, I guess,” she said as she walked away. I was left standing with a hard on that hadn’t gone down by her rejection. If anything, it had got worse after seeing her perfect ass walk away. I wondered if she would be hanging around the bar later. I may need to give it a second try, I thought. Then I remembered why I was in the kitchen. It was easy to find the enormous pot of hot chili, bowls for it and the bread that went with it. When I returned and put one of the bowls down in front of Bones, he looked at me.
“I was starting to think you had fallen into the pot,” he said. “Or worse, hooked up with a woman.”
“Nah, nighter. Just exchanged a few words,” I said, trying to sound relaxed. He made a disbelieving sound. The fucker knew me too well.
“Well, not even you can fuck someone that fast. At least I hope you can’t. I guess she turned you down. I hope your frail ego survives it,” he said and chuckled.
“Fuck off, old man. I did not get turned down,” I told him. He continued to eat and chuckle. I did my best to ignore him while I ate and kept a lookout for Tite.
