Chapter 5: She is a Hooker
Galvin was about to chase after her when Andrea stepped forward, raising a hand to stop him.
============================================================================================
Galvin narrowed his eyes, an aura of danger radiating from him. He gently ran his fingers over his slightly swollen cheek, then chuckled, “Hah, how interesting.”
Andrea frowned and asked, “What exactly happened between you and Ellie? Why would you say such things?”
“What happened?” Galvin sneered. “Are you that interested in what goes on between me and my wife? It seems like you’re meddling a bit too much.”
With that, Galvin swung his arm, forcefully shaking off Andrea’s hand.
“If you truly care about Ellie, then stay out of our business.”
After saying that, Galvin strode off in the direction Ellie had fled, leaving Andrea standing there in shock.
Andrea couldn’t understand what was happening! In his memory, Galvin and Ellie had always had a good relationship, and their marriage had been nothing out of the ordinary. But after his time away in Japan, something had changed drastically between them.
Andrea furrowed his brows. His instincts told him that this was not as simple as it appeared.
Galvin found Ellie curled up in a small corner, her entire body trembling. He approached and looked down at her coldly.
“What’s wrong? Did you think that hiding here would keep me from finding you?”
Ellie lifted her head to meet Galvin’s icy gaze, her face instantly turning as pale as paper. She had just slapped Galvin—how would he take his revenge on her now? She was terrified. Truly terrified.
Galvin smirked slightly, seemingly satisfied with Ellie’s frightened expression. But in truth, he hadn't expected a little girl like her to dare slap him in front of so many people.
Furious, Galvin grabbed Ellie off the ground and glared at her.
“Ellie, no one in this world makes a mistake without paying for it. Tell me, how should I make you pay?”
“No,” Ellie shook her head desperately, pleading with him, her eyes filled with despair. She wished that Galvin would remember what they once had and stop treating her this way.
“Gal, it’s me, Ellie. You once said you would always treat me well. So why are you doing this? Why?”
Galvin looked at Ellie with contempt, as if he were listening to the most absurd joke: "Ellie, I may have lost my memory, but I'm not a fool. Someone like you treating me well? I must be insane."
Ellie felt a deep pain and despair in her heart. She knew that no matter what she said, it would be useless. In Galvin's eyes, she was already a despicable and unworthy woman.
For the three months she had been bedridden after the accident, it was Glenda who had taken care of Galvin. The image Glenda had painted of her was wretched and shameless—utterly disgraceful. Because of that, no matter how much she tried to explain now, Galvin would never believe a word she said.
Now, Galvin's grandfather, wanting to fulfill a promise to Ellie's grandfather, had forced him to marry Ellie, even going so far as to send Glenda abroad.
This only made Galvin more convinced that Ellie was despicable and scheming. At this point, getting him to trust her was impossible.
She had slapped Galvin in front of everyone, so there was no way he would ever forgive her. Ellie closed her eyes in anguish.
"Then hit me too."
"Hit you?" Galvin sneered. "Do you really think it's that simple? Ellie, how can you be so naive?"
"Then what do you want?"
"What do I want?" Galvin looked at her mercilessly, his eyes void of sympathy. "Ellie, I have a place that suits you perfectly."
Galvin took Ellie into a karaoke lounge. As soon as they saw him, everyone in the room stood up to greet him.
"Mr. Wyndham."
"Mr. Wyndham, it's great that you’re here. Please, have a seat."
"Mr. Wyndham, I thought you wouldn’t come."
Galvin smiled at them. These were his business associates. Though they called themselves partners, in reality, they were nothing more than people who depended on his company to survive. They were all sycophants. If it weren’t for his desire to humiliate Ellie in front of them, he wouldn’t have bothered to come.
He glanced at Ellie standing beside him. Nothing satisfied him more than degrading her in front of a crowd. If anything could be even more gratifying, it would be having everyone join in to humiliate her alongside him.
Galvin narrowed his eyes. Ellie! You must pay for what you've done.
Ellie followed behind Galvin, her face pale. Under the dim lights, she appeared even more delicate and alluring.
Everyone present was an experienced businessman, and they all knew that at gatherings like this, no one ever brought their wife. So, seeing Ellie, they immediately assumed she must be Galvin’s mistress.
Even though Galvin hadn’t said a word, everyone in the room had already begun to look down on Ellie.
"Mr. Wyndham, who is she?"
A scrawny man suddenly stood up and asked.
His eyes lingered on Ellie without restraint. If Galvin weren’t standing beside her, he probably wouldn’t have been able to hold himself back from pouncing on her. Even now, he was barely keeping his composure, nearly drooling at the sight of her.
He thought to himself—Mr. Wyndham’s mistress is truly a masterpiece.
Her beauty was unparalleled. If he could hold her in his arms, touch her just once, he was certain it would be an ecstasy beyond words.
Galvin saw the lecherous demeanor of the man and felt deep contempt in his heart, but he did not show it on his face.
He let out a cold laugh and pulled Ellie toward him. "So? Is she beautiful?"
"Beautiful, beautiful." The man nodded frantically, his mouth full of flattery. "The woman you brought with you is truly a masterpiece!"
"Of course, she’s the most beautiful hooker in this club."
Ellie stared at Galvin in disbelief. Her already pale face turned even more ashen. She shouted in agitation, "Galvin, what are you saying? I'm not—"
"Not what?" Galvin's face remained expressionless as he ruthlessly kicked Ellie in the waist.
