Me vs Him

Hillary's POV

My eyes blazed with anger as I marched briskly to the club. Yes I knew a commoner like me would be sent out but I don't mind trying to rip off Travis head. I stormed towards the entrance which was heavily guided.

Don't act so stupid Hillary. Just because you met him here once doesn't mean he'll be here again. He's probably chilling in his house. But? What if I just try my luck?

The entrance was heavily guarded by Two hefty men in suits with shades and another one on sleeves.

“Who are you and how many can help you?” He asked.

“Um….”

All my anger and brave spirit had been wiped away. I was not only speechless but panicking.

“Let her in okay? Don't you remember. She's Miss Tessa Fowler. The one that met sir Travis here weeks ago.” One of the men in the suit reminded the other two..

Seriously? That easy? My shoes were literally worn out. Didn't they notice how poor I looked. But not too poor. I was manageable.

“Ohh. So sorry miss.” The one on the sleeves apologized Paving way for me.

Wow. This Tessa Fowler is a good one Indeed.

“Um, where's Travis?” I asked nonchalantly trying to act all cool.

“ Top floor. Top seat. Ma'am.”

“Okay.” I walked in smiling. That's how it felt to be rich. Everyone respects you so much. Good. I still can't believe I could pass.

The moment I stepped in and looked round, the air felt somehow nostalgic. I don't know why. I took a deep breath. Where do I even start with Travis? I knew I had social anxiety too. I went upstairs and it seemed the top floor Travis was, was the Highest. Maybe. I didn't know what to do but I'll search for him. I was tired and decided to take an elevator till I reached this floor and I could hear people cheering. It was beautiful and fantastic. Yes. I remember this place. This was where he had a drink.

Then, I felt someone grab my arms. “Who are you ?”

I flinched and turned. This was another scary looking man in a suit. He rated me from my head to toes and I nervously gripped my bag.

“Who are you missing and what are you looking for?”

Say Tessa Fowler. Say Tessa Fowler. Come on say it.

“Hi, I'm Hillary.”

Fuck. Why didn't you say Tessa Fowler? I sighed at my deep thoughts.

“Who are you and who have you come to see. You don't look rich. Never seen your face. In Fact where's your card?”

“Huh? What card?”

He laughs. “How were you granted the permit?”

His voice muffled the moment I saw Travis fucking Lancaster. A lady was lap dancing her ass on his body while he drinks obviously enjoying the party like the boss he was. I kept on staring angrily thinking about my next move.

“You need to leave.” The man's voice became audible again.

“No. I'm not going anywhere. But really? Why can't you mind your business? I was able to pass through the entrance and why do you insist on being poor. How dare you?” I sneered.

He looked in shock and I walked away. “You can't go in. You have to show me your card. That's how the system is done here. The only person that doesn't get to own a card is sir Travis himself.”

He took a deep breath. “I don't know how you pulled up here but you're coming with me.” He grabbed me by my two arms and I yelled.

“Get you bloody arms off of me.” I struggled and started screaming and slapping his hands off. He was too strong but my feet were holding a strong grip to the floor. I didn't want to give up. It seemed we were both fighting but he wanted to be careful with me because I was the girl.

“Hey you Travis! Come out here you loser! Travis! Traaaaaaaviiiiiiiiiiiiias!!!!”

My throat dried and I coughed. It seemed to work. People were staring at us and I was very tired and weak. My fragile body was nothing compared to this man.

I didn't see Travis again. I searched but I guess he was out of sight. Then I was being dragged out. I fucking failed. I'm so useless. I cursed myself.

“Shame on you for handling a girl like this.” I scoffed at the man who said nothing.

“Hillary.”

Both of us turned to see Travis. Oh my. Travis came back. Did he see me before?

How I imagined the scenario was that I would pounce on him the moment I had the opportunity.

“Hey big man. It's cool.”

He was like a god giving orders. He was too majestic.

“Sir?”

I released my hands from his grip rolling my eyes at him. His face was confused.

“I know her.” Travis completed and turned to me. “ Hope you're not hurting Hillary?” He did it again. The smirk.

I turned to the man in the suit and was shocked by his words. “ I'm so sorry, miss. I didn't mean to.” He turned to Travis now. “ I'm so sorry sir. I didn't know you knew her.”

“You're dismissed.”

I smiled to myself and gave the man a ‘see yourself?’ look. He quietly backed down and left. My smile left the moment Travis held my arms taking me out of the club room. His grip was tight and we walked upstairs till we got to the rooftop. Wow.

We were both quiet until I decided to say something but he also did.

“How did you pass the main, I mean first entrance?” There was this look on his face.

“Remember when I pulled up as Tessa Fowler the last time?”

His brows were raised and just neck tilts. It was giving, ‘Tessa Fowler again?’

“Yeah, so. These men seemed to remember my face and let me in. Thinking I'm your girlfriend or something.”

I rolled my eyes looking away realizing what I actually said at the end of my word and he blurted out a laugh. Yeah.. impossible.

“Wow.. in this outfit. You literally look like those mothers from the slums of Manila in the Philippines.” He couldn't stop laughing.

I took out a deep breath. This guy was a tough one.

“How dare you huh? You think this is funny right?” I could feel all my anger possessing me back. I moved closer to him still trying to be the feisty stubborn girl that can stand her ground but his eyes were my weakness.

“Nahh, you're like a lost tiger now.” He steps closer. I mean really close. “A cub that wants to strike its prey but is too scared because it's young.” I could feel his breath on me.

I'll show him who's the cub.

“How dare you!” I pushed him hard.
