All of a sudden there was a growl that ripped through the room and the band stopped playing and I heard something smash. Like it was a wooden chair or something.
Everyone looked in that direction and there was a man standing there that I had never noticed before. He would have been in his early 20's, brown hair to his shoulders, a brown goatee, 6-foot 6 at least and very defined muscles that were now tense as his intense gaze was staring directly at me and Mason.
But I didn't know who he was. I was frozen in the spot and this man was just staring at us with pure hatred in his eyes. But then I realized that the hatred was for Mason. Not me.
"Mine." He demanded.

yeah DNFing this. it started out great but at chapter 28 it starts getting really skippy? there’s holes and it’s just not what I wanted to read. needs to be written better.

just a heads up to others: if you’re a fan of The Originals (TVD) tv series, you’re gonna love OR hate this. the origins of her father is extremly close to the backstory of Klaus Mikaelson.

so sad the show ended but happy that the story from the writers/producers sparked someone else’s story 😊

This book is great! it has romance, revenge, humor and epic battles and unexpected alliances. can’t wait to read further

I really am enjoying this book. Great storyline.  I love that her mate has canceled his wedding to that wretched lady. Can't wait to see him get vengeance on whoever hurt his mate.
