"I, Ember Blake, accept you as my mate," I said, rising on my tiptoes to reach his lips. This would be my first kiss ever. I had no experience, but I trusted him completely. My eyes fluttered closed, waiting.

The main character is treated cruelly. When you think she’ll be treated better it takes a turn and her mates go back to being horrible to her again. I’m not even going to read anymore. True mates in werewolf stories do not treat their mates with hatred and violence.
