“I know your wolf Ryder doesn't want to reject me, but I know you've already made up your mind.” She said, making me look at her in confusion. No one knows my wolf's name, not even my father or mother, so how did she know my wolf's name, and how was she able to tell that he didn't want to reject her?

“How do you know his name?” I asked, genuinely curious.

“It doesn't matter,” she said, looking down.

"Okay, let's get on with it then. And since you don't have a wolf, it won't be that painful.” I said, looking at her with pity. “I, Derek Aston, future Alpha of Moonstone pack, reject you, Tiana Ealy, as my mate and Luna.” As soon as I finished speaking, I felt our bond break.

It was so painful that I almost fell; my chest was on fire, and a few tears escaped my eyes. What is happening? Why isn't she in pain? I don't understand how she was still standing. Even if she doesn't have a wolf, she was supposed to feel the pain of the mate bond break. But she just stood still like nothing happened.

“Ryder, why doesn't she feel the rejection?” I asked my wolf. He must have a clue why she seemed unbothered by all of this.

“I don't know; she must be powerful or something,” he said, whimpering as he retreated to the back of my mind.

I walked away from her quickly to avoid her finding out that I felt the pain of the broken mate bond. Although it wasn't completely broken, as she had not accepted it.

I’m getting impatient here. I just wanna get to the point where Tianna’s wolf comes out and speaks to her or communicates with her because so far in this entire book, or at least up to this chapter, Derrick’s Wolf is the only one talking.

This has the same problem as so many others like it; the author will waste 6 or more chapters saying almost the exact same thing in each chapter and the main character goes through the same challenges repeatedly by different characters with nobody believing them.
