yes. They do. if the state takes the child they will look for the bio family. it happened in my family so I know.

my mom was an addict.. my brother and I are 8-9years apart.. I got legal custody of him when he was a month past 16yo and I was 24 and 1/2 (6mo before I turned 25). he’s now 23. I’m 32. prior to legal custody I did what famke did. I worked, I fed him, I helped with homework. I cooked and cleaned. oh did I mention he’s a type 1 diabetic? diagnosed at age 2 by age 4 our mother was a hardcore pill addict. he’s insulin dependent. I love famke and I feel for her. this is amazing author. thank you

I absolutely love this author! her work shows so much personality…it captures from the beginning to the end! I wish more authors on here was as good. I read her stories in the course of 4 days…not much sleep. and I’m dying to know what happens next with Precious, Royal, and Famke. my heart is currently hurting for Famke 😔
