Calling Tazak back over at the base of the trunk, dirty fingers touched the outside of the rotting tree. Half of a porcelain face peeked out. The saltiness I smelled was that of her dried tears stuck to her face. The dirt had been washed away in small trails where her tears were left in its wake. An amethyst eye looked me up and down, no doubt disturbed by my appearance.

Well not using humans as blood bags and slaves didn't last very long, huh. I can't imagine the royals of Bergarian being too happy about this. Her mother is wicked and needs 2 be dealt with.

Yeah I got all that. My comment is in reference to why Sadie's parents made all humans leave Bergarian anyways. It seems like as soon as Sadie and Seth reversed the law they were back to enslaving humans and using them for blood bags. It didn't last too long and for that I can't imagine them being too happy about it. But, maybe that's what they'll be up against in this story. It would definitely go with the narrative so far.

This story takes place right after/with Willa and Orion's story, before the Dark War, so there are a lot of dark factions still running around. Hades and Parisa's and the twin's story take place after the Dark War which will help out in place the rogue vampire factions.

This is the first book of yours I've read that wasn't already completely available to read and the wait is killing me! haha.  Her Forever and The Fae Kings Darling were both sooo good. I love your books.
