Chapter 215

Right in the middle of my shark-infested fantasy, someone tapped on the door.

“Justin?” Helen called through the wood.

I slapped my laptop shut, trying to hide my research. If I wanted this to be a surprise, then she couldn’t see what I’d been looking at. A twinge of guilt hit me. I was acting suspicious like she almost caught me with porn or something bad like that.

Wait. I had no reason to feel guilty. I would surprise her with this vacation. I would book everything, and then when she looked like she was sad that she was having no luck in conceiving a baby, I would spring this on her and cheer her up. The ensuing romance would make conceiving easier because we wouldn’t think about having a baby. We would just think about the romantic times and let nature take its course.

Naturally, all of this thinking about sex made my cock swell, filling my pants and pressing against the zipper. Maybe we could try getting pregnant here in the office. I’d never had sex with her in my office. That might be kind of hot.

My already inspired mind now flashed to intimate scenarios closer to home than a glass floor halfway across the globe. Images of fucking Helen against the bookcase, thrusting her into classic literature, ran through my head. My erection pulsed in response. We should do that.

Then I imagined Helen bent over my desk, skirt up at her waist, panties straining against her rounded backside. I got another twinge in my groin. Yes. We should do that.

I’d just put a new rug in here, covering the hardwood with a beautifully designed, classically patterned wool carpet. My imagination pictured Helen sprawled on this, completely naked, spread wide and wet. Just waiting for me to mount her. Fuck, yeah. Let’s do that.

“Justin?” she called again.

Crap. I had to get myself together. “Come in,” I said, trying not to sound guilty.

I would seduce her and pleasure us both until we screamed. It was my office. I could do whatever I liked in here. And what I wanted to do was Helen, on the floor, on the desk, on the bookshelf, or maybe all of the above. The office was our oyster, so to speak.

Helen let herself into the office and sat down across from me. “I’m so sorry to interrupt. You seem busy.”

“I’m never too busy for you. What do you need?” I’d tried to growl this out all hot and bothered, but I think it came off as only bothered.

Helen gave me another apologetic look. “I won’t keep you long. I’m having some trouble with something that you asked me to do.”

“What would that be?” I prompted. I needed her to hurry up so I could pounce on her while I was still aroused.

“Julianne and I have spent a good deal of time going through werewolf dating apps—”

“Why would you need a dating app?” I scowled at her, my arousal wilting.

She rolled her eyes. “We went on there for Randy.”

“Oh,” I said.

“But that’s the problem I’m having. For all our looking, we’re not finding anyone that I think is good enough for him.”

“Are you too picky? Or is he the picky one?” I asked with a laugh.

“Honestly, I don’t know. I’ve kind of been using myself as a reference since I know that he had a crush on me. I’ve been looking for the type of woman that I would like to hang out with, someone who I think reminds me of myself, both in looks and in personality. And I’m just not finding anyone.”

“How far away have you looked?” I asked.

“We’re trying to keep it in a range where he could drive and stay the night there. If Randy can’t get to visit his date in one day’s drive, then she lives too far away.”

I nodded. This sounded like they’d conducted a sound search. “I think that’s probably reasonable,” I reassured her. “But I wouldn’t stress too much trying to find someone. After all, even if you introduce them to each other, you’re going to have to find someone who Randy’s wolf dubs as a mate, not just who you think that he would get along with.”

“I know,” she said, looking sad. “It’s just I had so much luck with Lisa and Russo. Not to mention, I feel bad because Randy is still alone. It must be hard for him, having had feelings for me, yet knowing that I didn’t return his feelings, that he misread my friendly affection for him. Then having to watch Russo find happiness with Lisa.”

I nodded. Man, this conversation was killing the mood I’d put myself in. “Yes, sometimes it can be a long journey for a werewolf or lycan to find a mate. But I know very few who end up alone. So really, I think you need to have faith that it’s just a matter of time. In the not-too-distant future, or who knows, maybe years from now, Randy will run across the right girl.”

She didn’t look convinced, so I kept trying. “In the meantime, you ladies can keep looking. Just don’t be discouraged if you don’t find anyone for him right away. Right now, he’s pretty busy working with me on trying to get the pack up and running properly. I don’t think he’s got time to sit around feeling sorry for himself on the romantic front.”

“I suppose not,” she agreed. “Now that Freya is putting the pixie clan back together and you’re putting our pack back together, it feels like I don’t really have anything left to do.”

“Speaking of you needing something to do,” I said. “You need to be careful where you go looking for activities to keep you busy. I got reports from one of my scouts that they spotted my father slinking around the edges of our packed territory. I thought you deserved to know.”

“How worried should I be?” she gasped.

“From what they tell me, my father is by himself. So, I’m not considering him much of a threat. I didn’t tell you this to worry you, but so that if you hear about him, you don’t think I’m trying to hide anything from you. I’m also not going to coop you up for your safety because I don’t think he’s that much of a danger. But this way, you can work to keep yourself safe. I trust you to be properly wary.”

“Thanks for that,” Helen said. “I like that you’re including me. And while you’re feeling like including me, is there anything that I can do to help you and Randy get the pack running? I could really use a job.”

“I have a task for you,” I said, making a second attempt at my sexy growl.

Underneath the desk, I unsnapped my pants and ran the zipper down. Rubbing a few times briskly brought stiffness back to my member. We’d talked enough. It was time to try seduction again.

I freed my erection, letting it spring up until it touched the underside of the desk, wood to wood. “We’re going to play secretary and boss. And your boss orders you to go lock the door.”

“I don’t get it,” she said, cocking her head in confusion.

“I didn’t think you would. You’re not the sort who would understand right away. But I’ll help. Just go lock the door.”

“Okay. Are we going to be talking about confidential information having to do with the pack?” She gasped, her eyes lighting up. “Does this have to do with the job you have for me? Is it super important? Is that what we’re going to be discussing?”

“What we’ll be doing definitely shouldn’t be shared,” I hinted.

Helen got up and locked the door, coming back to sit in the chair across from me again.

“Don’t sit there,” I commanded. “Come around to this side of the desk.”

She frowned, misunderstanding. “But you said I was supposed to be your secretary. Don’t you need me to take notes or something?”

“Don’t worry,” I growled playfully. “Your boss will show you everything you need to know.”

She hurried around to my side of the desk, and at the same time, I turned my chair so that she could see that I was ready and waiting for her.
